As of now, I'm all aboard with everything we've seen so far, especially the suit.
Very, very good comparison on that one.

Just like all the leaks with The Dark Knight Rises, I think reactions to these pictures shouldn't so be emotional. We don't know the context behind these pictures and we're already judging a film we nor anyone else has seen.

It kind of reminds me about X-Men: First Class. Look how that turned out!

I would totally watch a brooding Superman that delves into his psyche. Maybe people would actually veer away from their stereotypical views about him if they knew the complexities behind his actions.

As Batman once said: "It is a remarkable dichotomy. In many ways, Clark is the most human of us all. Then... he shoots fire from the skies, and it is difficult not to think of him as a god. And how fortunate we all are that it does not occur to him."

I can see the Trek comparison as well. Hopefully the intended sequels to Snyder's Superman move a little quicker than the new Star Trek. I can't see that movie dropping until 2013, 4 years after the first.

On an unrelated note I wouldn't mind a slightly moodier Superman, if it's done well. I mean the guy has to have some angst as he is destined to long outlive everybody that he loves.

          This quote if freaking AMAZING.

On topic, i admired Superman Returns for what it was, a fun watch and a comeback of Superman on the big screen. The main story was actually pretty laughable. The special effects and cast were admirable, however the movie just didn't have anything special going for it.

As much as I liked Routh as Clark Kent and Superman, he was too much of Christopher Reeves. It's not that he tried to impersonate Reeves, but boy was he a clone of Reeve. I would like to see this new guy be HIMSELF. Reeves did a fantastic job but we're in a new age and new actor playing the man of Steel. I want to see this guy take the role on himself and make us forget about Reeves and Routh.

What Zack Synder has done well throughout his directing career is film very exciting scenes with a very beautiful look. Yes he's not going to go nuts with a franchise like Superman but if WB allows him to leak some of his creative talents into the film, it will definitely be a catch for our eyes

I like the suit as it still looks like Superman so I can get used to it. Still would have preferred red trunks or at least a red belt like in the upcoming comics. Overall I think it looks fine and by the time the movie is out I think most will have adjusted to it.

Still looks fine to me. By the time Snyder goes through all of his tone and color timing layers in post-production, I doubt what it will look like will even matter. The whole world will be unlike a Superman we've ever seen, I'm sure.

I can dig it too. And honestly, as much as I didn't see it before, Cavill truly looks the part of Superman. Not in Christopher Reeve style, but in the overall mythos themself.

And it looks they fixed his hair to look more Superman now. The suit is also growing on me but I still wish they would fix the belt.

I don't hate it but it doesn't blow me away. Like others have said, this film is going to get a huge stint in post production and will probably look mind-blowing by 2013.

It's interesting to see the speculation regarding doomsday, I'm not sure I can see him in live action just yet. At least it would set it apart from previous incarnations.

The designs on the side are weird, and I still think there needs to be a belt of something so it doesn't look like a onesie. No red trunks don't bother me because it really does look like red underwear on the outside in this day and age... Also I like there not being the yellow S on the cape, I always thought it was too much. I am a big, big Superman fan, but subtle changes to the suit are ok to me as long as it is still blue, red, and yellow and that the S is mainly unchanged. The biggest thing is the person that Superman is, hopefully they nail that.
