Maybe. But I also thought that Singer's S was too small but it ended up looking great in motion.

I'm really not sold on the apparent lack of trunks. But again I guess the jury is out for 2 years. I can't believe we have to wait that long for this film!

Quite a few more set shots of Cavill as Superman are surfacing. It looks as if there will be no red trunks on this Superman.

Unless I'm blind, the pictures don't indicate anything at all whether his suit has the red trunks or not. Either way, it will either follow the classic look or the soon-to-be revamped look of Superman in the comics -- no red trunks.

Edit: Okay, scratch that. Just looked at picture 4 closely and it does look like there will be no trunks.

I will withhold judgement but I feel that there is just too much blue without the trunks. The red breaks it up nicely. Also the superman outfit is absolutely iconic to me, I've known it ever since I was a tiny little kid obsessed with the man of steel!

Still, I guess it's a matter of adapt or die... Hopefully the movie kickstarts a new renaissance for superman.

I read the film synopsis/blurb over at Topless Robot....This movie sounds like Smallville except Supes actually wears his costume.

Still i'm gonna give it a go. I don't understand why the ENTIRE movie has to be an origin story....

Oh and i'm not liking what i'm hearing about the new suit either.

I don't think the lack of red trunks will be a problem when watching the film. The red trunks in the comics was a nice touch to separate the blue and be more "impressive", but most shots of him in the film probably won't be full-body.

Yeah this is one character that I think there shouldn't be very many changes to his look. If there are no red trunks then it is what it is. I'm sure I can look over some of the changes if it is a quality film.

Well I guess that most of us have no issue with Batman's look in the movies and that's significantly different to how it looks in the comics.

There is something that bothers me about this shot where the ship is suppose to land. It's just a burnt out small crater in the ground.



Shouldn't there be a long burnt out trail then the crater to show where the ship crashed? Like this

I agree with this. She'd look better as a redhead. I'm somewhat surprised they didn't dye her hair black since that's the hair color Lois Lane usually has.
