    I hope I'm wrong though.
The Batman movies both have a big name cast and Nolan didn't let us down. Hopefully Snyder won't either with Nolan having done most of the pre-production work.

I agree with all the success Nolan has had lately I don't think he's going to let his name be attached to anything that has the possibility of being bad. Just him being tied to the movie gives me hope that it will be good.

I said the maybe Christopher Meloni could be Lex or Brainiac, I think maybe those roles are to big for him, but the role of General Sam Lane he may be the perfect choice for that.

I don't know if he can pull off the vitriol and hate that Sam Lane seems to project from what little i've read of him in the comics (quite frankly that whole New Krypton thing turned me off of the Superman titles) I do think you're probably right that the other two roles may be too big for him but I could see him doing Brainiac well if given a chance.

Have you ever watched Oz? Merloni can be...rather brutal, hateful and downright mean/vicious. Completely different character than Detective Stabler.

Merloni said the he will be playing a General in The Man Of Steel. So that narrows it down Sam Lane, John Corbin, or possibly Deathstroke.

Since when was John Corbin a general? Wasn't he just a regular soldier before becoming Metallo?

Thats right he was. It was almost 2 in the morning when I posted that and I think my brain had already shutdown.

Variety reports that Harry Lennix (who starred in the "Matrix" sequels, "Ray" and "State of Play") has been cast in a military role for the up-coming "Man of Steel" film.

Lennix has closed a deal to play a high-ranking military officer named General Swanwick in Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures’ tentpole, set for December 2012.
They have done a great job of assembling a great cast for this movie. I am really getting excited for this. Hope I will not be disappointed, but this might be as great as if not better than Superman The Movie

Sounds promising and I'm curious about this movie. But even without seing a promo, I already know that the old Superman (1 & 2) with Christopher Reeve will still be my favorite Superman movies. Every time I see Reeve as Superman it just makes things awesome, it was a legendary Superman version. Can't get any better for me.

Your right Chris reeve will always be the best Superman, but story wise aand actors in it this movie could be better.

Yeah Chris Reeves will always be my favourite as well but I am glad to see another take on it. My one wish is that Snyder keeps John William's Superman theme as it is perfect and to me can't be matched. Also I would like to see the suit be a bit brighter than in Returns as the red's were more burgandy. I really love the casting of this film and think Snyder will do a great job.

Yeah I agree that music just yells Superman, but as much as I am hoping for it I have a feeling I will be let down when it comes to the music.
