Another good shot of Jor El, Superman, and Faora's, costumes we will see in the movie.

I'll be their for sure on day 1. Can't wait but I do enjoy the buildup to the release of the film. I never read articles or view images that contain spoilers. Looking forward to seeing the first trailer.

Superman's costume is not too bad, I guess we will see once the movie comes out how it really looks.

Yeah from all the pictures it looks like they are going the way of the new 52 with the story and Superman's costume being an actual Kryptonian outfit than it being one that Ma Kent made for him.

                Re: Superman Man Of Steel

Hans Zimmer has been tabbed to Score The Man Of Steel

Sounds like he is a bit intimidated by the fact that Superman is such an iconic character and that John Williams score was one of the greatest movie scores ever, but Zimmer is no slouch either and has given lost of great scores himself. He will do a god job with Superman but I hope we get at least a touch of the original John Williams score (I'm listening to it as I right this) as it just screams SUPERMAN.

Hans Zimmer, the film composer responsible for Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and the upcoming The Dark Knight Rises, is set to return to the DC Universe next summer. Variety is reporting that, contrary to earlier reports, Zimmer will score Zack Snyder's Man of Steel.

While Zimmer may seem like a natural fit for the project, he shot down rumors of his involvement late last year in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

"My heart belongs to Batman," said Zimmer of scoring the film. "I wouldn’t even know how to go and give voice to it."

Zimmer went on to explain that one of the troubles with tackling the character musically is that, in doing so, one can't help but fall in the shadow of John William's iconic score.

"[It] happens to be one of his greatest themes," Zimmer said, calling Williams "the greatest living composer". "So no. And I’m not thinking of rewriting Beethoven’s ninth either. It just sounds like a thankless task, you know? So that’s unequivocally a no."

Whatever has happened to change Zimmer's mind remains to be revealed, but check back for updates as they become available.

I think Hans will do a great job but I do hope we get the classic Superman theme as it fits the character perfectly. It is the most iconic theme for any superhero and the most beloved. It doesn't have to be exactly the same as Hans can put his twist on it. Regardless I think he is a great choice to score the film.

If anyone remembers the live action Superboy tv series that aired in the early 90's I'm hearing that season's 2-4 will be released on DVD sometime within the year probably around the time Man Of Steel hits theaters.

Haha no worries. We all do, and Hans Zimmer has been the man with Nolan's films.

So on that token, I am totally excited with what Zimmer comes up with for Man of Steel. In the end, the director probably has some say in how it comes into place, so I hope Snyder can be on the same level with Zimmer as Nolan has been.

I think he should just let Zimmer, in essence, throw the paint at the wall. Unlike the original Superman...the Burton's batman films didn't have a consistent theme that's etched into theconsciousness of a generation. This is different...that John Williams theme IS Superman. So I dunno...I would love for Zimmer to go opposite the triumphant feel of the William's theme and.....as he does so well....go dark, aNGRY...go 'mike tyson ring entrance' with it...I almost feel like Zack Hemsey's 'Mind Heist' would be perfect for Man of Steel...

Didn't they use the same Batman theme for Batman 89 and Returns? The Batman Animated Series theme is very similiar, too.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I want them to get away from the Williams score. Yes, it is iconic, but they need to get out from underneath that shadow if they want to do something really special. That's part of the problem I had with Superman Returns because it tried emulating the Reeves' films too much.
