I will say this much about Brolin - he has the build and face for the older Frank Miller Batman at least. That's about it, though.

I'd be fine with Gosling, because, well, he's Ryan Gosling and he's awesome. Iffy on Brolin

I like Gosling's stuff, but Batman is a no-go for me.

I think Gosling is a better fit than Brolin, personally.

Batman should be in his Prime imo

At the risk if getting off topic, that is so not why he quit for eight years.

Yeah, try not putting much stock into Kevin Smith podcasts featuring douchebag guests.

I have my own complaints about this film myself, but some I've heard within the past month have been far beyond ridiculous.

I think it kinda is the reason... He talks about Rachel wanting to be with him right in the beginning of the movie before Alfred breaks up with him...

It sure looked to me like The Joker turning Dent was the reason Bruce gave up being Batman. After Rachel died, Bruce didn't give up being Batman.

I understand there's something to it, because Bruce gave up on life in general without Rachel. He had no reason to be Bruce or Batman after everything that happened in The Dark Knight, which also happens to include Rachel's death.

He gave up on it because Batman was no longer a hero or the symbol he was supposed to be. He was the villain. Dent was the hero that Gotham needed, even if the symbol of Dent wasn't real in the end. But that illusion needed to be maintained, and that is why Batman had to take the fall for Dent's death and disappear.

Just watched Superman/Batman Public Enemies and it makes no sense why they don't go that kind of route.

Just a rumour but it has reportedly been stated that Bale has been offered $50 million to reprise his role as Batman in Superman vs Batman. Don't know how reliable the source is but thought I'd post it. http://highlighthollywood.com/2013/0...medium=twitter

The thing is, he'd not only be signing on for this movie, but probably a Justice League movie as well.

I don't know how anyone could pass up $50 mill, but I think Bale will, assuming this is even true.
