Dont really like Sony products outside of Playstation but im not against trying it. However I am in a tight spot to where I am limited to Newegg at the moment due the year free no interest. I got a HHGreg card as well but I am pretty sure everything they offer is 6 months and no later.

Candy what amount triggers No Interest?
Edit just saw your post. Let me go some research when I get home, but since Sony isn't really on your list, I suggest Sharp or Toshiba especially since your gonna be using it fit gaming 90% of the time

So essentially I need to find a TV equal to or over 500 dollars or get the LG and spend about 60-70 bucks on other stuff just to get it to 500 dollars to get 12 months interest free. Problem is I'm not sure what I even need/want off newegg to cover that difference.PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
Candy, here's the LG 5800. It's the next level up from the TV you were looking at. I can't tell if the 5700 was Edge-Lit or Backlit, but the 5800 is Backlit which helps tremendously with screen uniformity.
Not sure if the 5700 has an IPS Panel, but the 5800 does, which with viewing angles. With tax the purchase puts you right where you wanna be

Edit: Yeah getting that tv you posted with HDMI cables. I do however wonder why the previous one was so much to begin with if its a lower grade.Last edited by Candyman5; 08-16-2014, 10:44 AM.PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
Thanks but theres no sale tax on it for me. Lol. So basically I got to find something for 1 dollar to but so I can get it for 12 months. Replacement plan and shipping doesnt get considered in the 500 dollar price. XD But its better than trying to find a 60 dollar item to combo with. I may say F it and get some HDMI cables with it to get me to 500 bucks.

The only thing I could see has to do feature sets. Example: the 5800 has built-in wifi while the 5700 doesn't. Either way for $500.00 it's a good value buyComment

60 is fine. From what I understand 120 is phony you need to jump to 240 to get any real effect. B and H has the 42" 5600 for $349 no tax and free shipping.Comment

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
What do you guys recommend for an entry-level 39 or 40 inch TV? I don't need a smart TV or any other bells and whistles. Just looking for something that's relatively cheap and will look good regardless of if I'm gaming or watching TV.Comment

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
I have to different tv's I play video games on.... a 40 inch RCA LCD and a 47 inch Vizio Smart Tv LCD.
the picture on both tv's look good but holy cow the 47 inch vizio.... the picture on that looks like u are right there in the game or tv when watching it.
I got both my tv's from walmart.
and both were pretty cheap the smart tv we got for like $500 on sale was normally like $800.Comment
