I'd probably chose the Samsung or Aquos below over the Vizio.

So it ends up being some strange letterbox like format to watch the show.
I see this on my Optimum cable in NJ but not so much on my TWC down in NC. It's almost unwatchable.

Vizio will begin selling 50" 4K TVs for $1000.

I did see a reasonably priced Samsung 55" 4K for $1600. It's still a bit too high for my wallet. But if it drops to around $1000, I might jump on it.

Has far has I know they don't even do any tv stations in 1080p yet only 1080 I. I did hear about the 4k stem though. I wounder how long it will be before you can watch tv stations in 4k?

Yeah I heard this before. I hope I can get a 50-55 inch 4k 3d tv in the next like 4 maybe 5 years for around 1000 or less. That vizio tv is going to be the first 4k 50 inch tv at 1000 or less and if you get 3d with 4k tvs are even more.

Think there will be many good deals on 50" LEDs around the holiday season? I have a fairly small extra room and feel a 50" would be perfect.

You walk thru Best Buy nowadays and the majority of the tvs are 55" and above. Anything under that is considered small and are positioned way off to the side. I'd like to find a 50" for the den/man cave for sports, Netflix, and games.

My man cave has moved upstairs from the basement. Just so much more cozy (and will be warmer in the winter) and i don't feel all alone in the house with everyone sleeping upstairs late at night. Nice to plug in the Gold PS4 headset for better than decent surround sound.

So I have this home theater in a box sitting in my closet. I wanted to let a friend borrow it for a while, but they don't want the particular receiver that comes with it because the thing is massive and ugly. Any cheap solutions for replacement? Even if it's just 2.0 because they are in an apartment anyways and the sub is passive so doesn't do much anyways. Cheap as in > $50.

Yeah, I'm hoping for a 65" or 70" tv eventually. Def under 1k. Probably a year or two away, but that's the best size for the living room and 4k isn't needed.

If you really need under $50 then go with a 2.1 set of computer speakers. Logitech , Altec Lansing, Cybe Accoustics

You will likely need one of these RCA Y adaptors http://www.amazon.com/C2G-Cables-404...udio+y+adapter
