Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
Backstory and Question:
I just bought the Samsung KS8000 (65") from BB within the past week, I did not purchase the BB warranty at the time of purchase, I did inquire if I could buy it at a later date and they told me within the next 14 days I could. I figured I'd look elsewhere for a TV warranty and if I couldn't find a deal that I'd just go back and get the BB one.
Now I have the TV up and running, settings, etc etc... and I noticed today on the top right (backside) of the TV the back panel is separating, roughly a 3 inch wide separation. Should I return and exchange the set or should I purchase the BB warranty, see if they can fix in house (not sure if they can) and see how the warranty plays out (ie. exchange for same model, upgrade etc..).
I'd appreciate any responses and if anyone has had this issue/problem.
Thanks.
Or even give the curved version of the unit a try....It was mentioned in previous posts in the thread that the curved version suffers less from this issue (don't know how this is the case....but has been mentioned here in the thread)....
But yeah man...take back as soon as you can....
EDIT: Here is the video when the dude had the tech to his house:

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
Looking to upgrade to 65" 4K HDR too, been looking through the thread and the 65" Samsung S8000 seems to be the best bet for me has everything I want at a decent price.
This LG 65UH6150 is quite a bit cheaper, what is the difference?

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
This set really gets bright when 4k HDR is playing. Watched a couple of 4k YouTube videos via my Shield and was amazed at how beautiful the picture was.
Gonna be a nice weekend.

Not been a huge issue and honestly I don't know if its the TV or my PS4 Pro or my receiver. But hearing you say you've had issues makes me wonder if it's the TV.Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
I have the Samsung KS850D (the Costco curved version of KS8000) and yes I've had a couple of times where the sound cuts out for a millisecond every so often, just enough to be annoying as ****. One time I reset the TV and it fixed it. Another I reset the PS4 and it fixed it.

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
However, I don't have the money right now to get a new receiver but even if I did I want to wait a little longer for Dolby Atmos to mature a little more before getting one.
I do have that Denon one you told me about bookmarked Scott. Hoping more receivers like that add the "height" speakers as an actual input though before buying. I know you also gave me a link to one for like $900 but if the wife found out I got that she'd murder me so I may end up getting that one but it'll have to come down price wise.
EDIT: My Onkyo is only a few years old (got it in 2012) but I know, I know, ancient in tech terms!!
Here is what I'm using:
