These are the 4K Ultra HD - HDR sets.

The 900 models have higher nit brightness for HDR and have better contrast. They also have less light bleeding.

I hate to say it but i think your TV is done

Mine is back to normal thank God. I unplugged the tv for a couple of seconds and that ended up doing the trick.

So last night I finally got to see the LG B7 in person and tried out a few games. I thought the picture being too dark was only on the 2016 models like the B6? We tried madden at my friend’s house and it looked too dark. For some reason Game mode even with OLED light at 100 looked dark. I’ve read some here say it’s not a problem they’re seeing on their sets but I witnessed it first hand yesterday.

Going on nearly 1 year now with my Vizio M55 HDR set and no problems whatsoever. Still satisfied with the purchase. And the price is still about the same as when I bought it.

I have a LG C7 OLED and it is plenty bright for me in game mode in both HDR and non-HDR games.

It is quite the machine. The 4K content looks awesome. When I finally get a PS4 Pro I’m sure that’s when I’ll really see the benefits.

Is this a UHD TV? I'm trying to make peace with spending $1,500 on the Sony x930e, but it is tough. It just seems like these 4k TVs are priced kind of high and will drop again soon.

I want a TV that works well with my Xbox one X, fully compatible for all 4k features.Has good input lag, and looks fine for regular TV (I like to watch live sports - I have direct TV).

Open minded to anything. I was seeing that there was not a huge difference between the Sony x900 and 930, but I was curious what you all thought there.

I have the 55” Sony x900E and love it! There’s a community of tv owners on Facebook who have helped each other with settings for anything to watching 4K HDR videos to getting settings dialed in on Directv images (I also have Directv but have not upgraded my equipment to the 4K genie because the new Directv equipment runs off a single server (not attached to your tv) from which your genie and genie minis run off. Unfortunately in this setup you are only allowed one genie DVR and currently there is only one 4K channel.

I have a ps4 and it looks phenomenal on the x900e. Can only imagine what the X Box X would look like.

The 900e does not have Dolby Vision but for me it’s still a great tv.

Awesome. Think I may pull the trigger on that TV. It sounds great. Dolby Vision doesn't appear to even work with the One X, so I can deal without that.

I know there were many complaining about Game mode being too dark while others said their TVs were bright enough. Out of curiosity what update version do you have? And I heard all the 2017 models have the same screen. I ask because my buddy has the B7 and you have the C7..

Yes. 50 inches with HDR, 60hz refresh rate.

My X900E arrives tomorrow. I think it should be perfect since I have a bright room and I have read nothing but good things about this TV for the most part.

I will mainly be watching sports, hi def movies and playing Xbox on it, so it should be a major upgrade from my 1080P LG plasma.

Congrats! You will love it. If you have Facebook, search Sony XBR 900e tv owners. That is the group that I was telling you about the other day. You’ll find picture settings and tips for watching tv, gaming, watching 4K content, etc. What size did you go with? I have the 55.

Got the 55. It is all set up and just am updating the firmware. It is very impressive screen! I have a bright room that is very hard to darken during the day, so this already looks like a major upgrade from plasma and I have not even been able to fire up the One X yet. It got to the point where I did not game much when the sun was out, so I am pretty pumped.
