Pretty impressive the new Vizio P Quantum X is just as good as a Sony 950G. However, just like the original P series, the Quantum X is very hard to find in stores.

yeah, after really thinking about it, i think im just gonna say "**** it," save up more, and get a C9 or Q80R. I went to Abt today to look at the 900f and saw the new 950G right next to it and they were good, really bright.. But its still $1300 there while the C9 is $2200 and the Q80R is $1700. At max, its about $900 more, but for a much better product that would also not make me buy a new stand.

Are you looking for a 55"? You may be able to get the A8G 55" for $1999

Depends on what rtings ends up rating the A8G, but the A8F has a lot worse input lag than the C9 and image retention is noticeably worse too.

If the A8G is that much better then I'll probably go with that, but Abt cant advertise a price on their website and cal only sell it in-store, so the C9 might end up being cheaper anyways (I get a discount at Abt from a family member).

What would you say the best QLED is, just so I have a non-OLED competitor going against the C9 and A8G.

Saw a 8k TV for the first time yesterday at best buy. Before I had not seen a 8k tv any were. The tv I saw I think was like 70 inch and cost like 6500. I dont remember what brand it is and I dont known like if it is a higher level 8k tv model or what. It did look nice but I am not sure if it really looked any better than 4k or not.

Far as I know, Samsung is the only brand so far that have 8K TVs out in stores right now. Sony and LG 8K tvs not coming until later this year.

Got you I will have to pay more attention next time I go there. I just remember a few months ago someone saying something about bestbuy having a 8k tv but they didn't have one yet at that point in time at my bestbuy store. So this was the first time I had seen one.

Right now it is up converting everything. The standards are still under development and no plans for anyone to provide 8k media. They need to figure out the standards, bandwidth requirements, and then get people to shoot in 8k.

At this point, I wouldn't pay the price difference. Save money now and buy in a few years when 8k has some content.

I am not plaining on getting one soon at all. I dont get a new tv that often and heck I may get a OLED tv after the tv I have had right now and even that will not be for several more years lol. But I figured what ever was being shown on the tv would be in full 8k and not just upscale.

What recommendations do you guys have for 65 4k OLED? I've been reading RTINGS and they recommend the LG B8...price is a lil steep for a 2018 model but for 9.0 rating for gaming is nice. It's like shopping for a PC monitor I research for months before pulling the trigger and when I do buy it I get a bit of buyers remorse until I plug the sucker in and enjoy it fully lol

Reading from Neogaf to Reddit and I'm just gathering as much info till I know I'm ready.
