B&H had it for $1199 but it was a 3 hour sale last night only.

Man, did Aquaman look stunning on my A8G. Color, Clarity and Motion were excellent. Black Levels amazing. Yes, the A8G offers lower peak brightness in HDR & DV, but the wife and I are not looking for an overly bright TV.

Also watched some football via FIOS and the picture looked good.

So far, very happy with the purchase

I ended up going with the A8G. It was the same price as the C9. The salesperson really sold me on it and was adamant about it being the better gaming TV but after reading some comparison reviews (after the fact) it seems like I should have listened to you.

I really just had time to set it up last night and check out a few things but didn't get to play any games. I watched a little bit of SNF and it looked great, then tried out Amazon Instant Video. I watched the beginning of Jack Ryan Season 2 (4K UHD). It looked amazing but it started studdering after a few minutes. I'm not sure if it's settings or internet-related but I didn't really have time to mess with it because it was getting late. I'm going to play with it a little more tonight and hoping I can get it ironed out.

It’s a great tv for sure, but for gaming, the C9 is definitely better. Congrats though.

Not only is the C9 a better gaming tv, but the operating system is a lot better too. I’m not a fan of the clunky android tv OS..

I brought my KS8000 to a repair shop and the LED light quit working. It can be repaired for $300 so I figured that was a no-brainer since I can't get a comparable TV for $300.

Once I get it back, I'll decide if I want to keep it as my gaming TV and move the A8G to the bedroom. If not, I may swap the A8G out for the C9 and move the KS8000 to the bedroom. I have until mid-January to decide but I also hate dealing with returning stuff so we'll see how it goes.

I see all you guys talking about these $1,000+ TVs and I love my TCL P series still. Guess what I don't know or see won't hurt me.

All that matters is that you’re happy with it.

No it's the TCL I have the one with Dolby vision so I guess it's not the P and it's the R instead.

I would love to get like some big 75 inch oled tv but i got the Samsung ks8000 55 inch tv back in late 2016 right around black friday so about 3 years ago and i dont have the best paying job. So spending like 1000+ on a tv ever few years would not be a good idea. I will most likely not upgrade to a new tv for another like 7 years or something. Oled look amazing but i tend to have really bad luck with tech, and the whole burn in with oled really scares me from wanting to get one, and again don't really have the money to upgrade any way. I have heard of micro led and that its supposed to be has good has oled but with out burn in. But i have not seen a micro led tv in any stores yet and that means its may be a long long time before they are a solid price. Even oled tv's are kind of expensive still and i think they have been out for like 10 years. Seems like by next year we might just be starting to see good oled 55 inch tv's at 1000.

I’m upgrading my 65ks8000 to a LG 65C9 OLED. I’ve had an OLED in the bedroom for 2 years and haven’t had any issues or burn-in. I also owned plasmas in the past and never no burn-in. Burn in is over blown sometimes and you should be fine. Rtings ran OLEDs for a year playing the same content 20 hours a day and didn’t get burn-in.
