Ok slides are running. does it matter how fast they are displayed? I set it to FAST because the default took forever.

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
They shouldn't stay on the screen for too long. I didn't have any speed settings, but the default was probably 5 seconds per slide which worked well.Comment

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
The GT25 is my first plasma tv. I've owned 2 lcds. This tv is great. Almost no input lag,(Unable to see with the human eye) 15ms. I already ran the slides for 100 hours, and last night started using the tv. The only thing I dislike is that I constantly worry about IR or burn in.NBA2K is the standard of sports games period.Comment

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
I just found out last night that my receiver(Denon 2310) was adding input lag to my gaming 60-80ms. I had to disable all video processing since it was adding the lag plus I didn't need them since my tv does it..NBA2K is the standard of sports games period.Comment

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
THX mode? I think you might have misunderstood. I can't recall the default settings for THX, but if you bring down contrast and brightness......you should be good. I think you might mean that stores jack up the brightness on their sets which = TORCH MODE. If you use the settings I posted pages ago, you will be good and there should be no worries. I even recommend lowering the brightness a bit during the first few hundred hours than what I have. I increased mine to what I posted not too long ago since I am around the 700 hour mark on the set. Your going to cause your self an ulcer or brain aneurysm if you keep thinking about it, LOL!Comment

I spent a lot of time looking for what kind TV to buy and big box stores tell you all sorts of misinformation. For example I received the bad THX info at Ultimate Electronics. They also threw me way off by telling me that Panasonic doesn't make anything smaller than a 50 inch in 3D and that the 42 inch I was looking at on Amazon had to be a misprint or an error on my part.
"THX mode should be used to show off the T.V. but I wouldn't use it all the time. It's used mostly to show what's possible with everything maxed and it's not necessary for normal viewing and playing video games."
At the time we were looking at the 50 inch Panasonic Plasma.Last edited by WildFan22; 02-22-2011, 05:34 PM.Comment

Nah, THX is the way to go. Lower the contrast if you want/need to.Comment
