Is it best to turn off dynamic contrast and dynamic color? Some say it ruins detail in the whites and blacks and causes lag in gaming. I keep them both off for gaming as game mode has them turned off to begin with. What are your guys thoughts? Is it best just to keep them off and adjust the regular color and contrast settings? I have an LCD tv . Thanks in advance.

For gaming Yes, keep them off. For TV/Movie viewing, unless your set is calibrated turning on Dynamic Contrast isn't always a bad thing. As for Dynamic Color I would leave that also Off

I tested it out and decided to keep all of it off as it introduces to much noise in the picture. With it off I turned up brightness a touch as the picture darkens a bit and dialed back color as well. The picture looks alot more natural and is easier on the eyes. My eyes tend to strain to much if things are set to high. Thanks for the help joe.

Hey guys, looking for some recommendations on a new TV for my PC/PS3/PS4. Since my son is now gaming more, I'm leaning towards upgrading my old 20'' widescreen monitor to something like a 24''-32'' to help avoid some gaming time conflicts lol.

Not looking to go too crazy but something decent. I figure I can get something decent in the $200-$400 range.

For $400, these 2 have the most features in a 32 inch set: LED backlit, 1080p resolution , 120 Hz and smart. (Vizio then a LG)

                http://www.amazon.com/VIZIO-M321i-A2...2%22+LED+1080p

                http://www.amazon.com/LG-32LN5700-32...2%22+LED+1080p

You can save anywhere from $50 -$100 if you don't need 120Hz or smart features.

Don't think I would drop down to a 720p set if it is going to also be used as a computer monitor.

Thanks for the suggestions man. After getting the tape measure out, I'm reconsidering a 32''. I'm thinking a 27'' might be what I need for my office.

I saw a nice Samsung at Sam's Club today originally $298 but it's marked down to $198. It's a 27'' 1080 Monitor, unfortunately I can't find it on their site.

I have a new 39" LED Proscan TV. Everything else is fine, but I'm having troubles programming my Fios remote for it. I'm following the directions step for step, but after inputting the 3-digit code for the tv, the guide tells me to hit the CH+ button until the tv cuts itself off. My tv doesn't cut itself off however, and instead a hitting the CH+ button a few times, the programming process just cancels. Any ideas?

I would seriously consider a harmony remote. They are worth the investment, IMO.

IMO, I'd pay a little more and get a brand new set from either LG or Vizio at slightly under $250:

If you're trying to stay under $200, Best Buy has their Insignia brand 32" 720p set for $199 (weekly ad)

Good idea. Insignia blows. Not a needed buy right at the moment. Thx.
