That's not a bad power conditioner. Panamax is a very reputable brand and recommend their products a lot. Furman is another great company, just got my unit shipped for an order I did. Only catch is, they start out at around $800. Furman and Panamax are the same company though, just a higher end product line.

I would say go for it. You won't get the readings on the front, but it will protect your equipment.

Is the amount of "joules" it protects from just a sales number?

I'm kicking myself for not become a MyBestBuy member long ago. I probably lost out on a good bit of rewards.

      So what started as a $600 budget surround sound system has turn into a Yamaha AVR-673, (2) Klipsch KF-28, (2) KB-25, KC-15, PL-200, surge protector, and a 65VT60...............

So theoretically I'd pay $599.99 for squaretrade. I'll pay the extra money for a company I can trust, personal opinion.

I never buy the warranties on speakers/receivers. I have a good enough relationship with Denon and Klipsch reps to make some calls and get my products replaced. I buy my warranties on TVs and phones mainly. I'm sure they are aware of square trade though and if it gets big enough, they'll contemplate changing it. If their phone plans are anything like what ours used to be though, they'll lose a lot of money fast and change it quickly. BBY lost a lot of money on Geek Squad on phones, which caused the recent switch to competitors warranties. All Best Buys are different, I'll take care of someone whose a good customer, and get their warranty fulfilled. Some other stores may not. It is what it is, I just don't like online warranties, not my thing.

What would be the best course of action to try and get my store to go lower on the warranty? I bought just a 2 year for now. Think I would have more luck telling them I'll commit to the longest term and see what they can do with that?

Want to buy a new 40 something inch tv for the bedroom, but I'm sad Plasmas are fading out soon. Any good led tv with great picture quality? I've just never seen an led tv with picture quality like a plasma. I'm liking the 4k tv's, but there's very little content available so I don't really care for it right now.

What 3D glasses are you guys using? I am not a fan of the ones that came with the TV. Maybe this is how all of them are, but the lenses seems really small and the frames are very noticeable when watching.

I don't have the dimensions of the living room on me, but it's a pretty good size. Budget is probably around $400-$500. Would be used 90% for movies/sports/gaming, 10% music

Alright, so are you just looking to upgrade the front sound stage (left, right, center) or the back surrounds too? Sticking with the same sub?

Polk and Pioneer (Andrew Jones line) immediately come to mind in your price range.

The Polks actually are pretty solid. The Pioneers are good for the price but you do lose some power, but for most people that power isn't a huge deal.
