I have had this talk with a lot of very big video purist's and we've all kind of came up with the same opinion. I did own a Darbee video processor for a couple years and it was a great idea at the time, BUT for me, it does not have HDMI 2.0, which is not compliant with 2160p at 60fps. This is huge alone, but the new Sony TV's have a very impressive dynamic range processor, one that beats the Darbee's processing.

I have been tempted to order another Darbee with my new 4k to see what the results would be, since my old one had an issue and is not working. I'll have to see if I can find a cheap one.

This tv is unreal. The uniformity is ridiculous and I see zero signs of vertical banding or hotspotting. I'm about to hook up my ps4 and test out the show.

From an iPhone so that degrades some quality.

This tv really has the picture quality if not better than the ZT. Imagine the ZT as a 4k...

What model TV are you talking and posting pictures about? Thanks.

The HDMI board on my 58" plasma got fried a couple weeks ago in some weather so I've got everything going through the component now. The TV is about 5-6 years old, trying to decide if I want to spend $500 to repair it or get a new TV. I just bought a 64" Samsung F8500, wondering if I should get another one of those or not.

$500 to repair a 5-6 year old tv or use that coin to buy a new tv....

is this a trick question? (unless that tv happens to be a pioneer kuro)

Seriously...If I were him I'd be in the car to the store now lol

I guess it just depends on what he wants to spend....I'd be willing to go to 1000ish if my main tv broke, but right now I'm able to wait out the price drops a bit.

Well most of the TVs that I buy tend to be around $2500-$3000, so $500 to fix is a good deal for TV that works good. But I am tempted to get a new one that has smart capabilities in it so I don't have to use my PS3 for Netflix and stuff. That's what I have in my game room and I like it.

Just so everyone knows, most of the new Sonys come with Playstation Now built into them.

Naturally, this is all subjective but answers.com lists what are the best TVs for the PS4 and Xbone among other things about TVs.
