The 2014 models came later on in the year. There's been news on some of the lower end Vizios, but nothing on the P series which is their top of the line.

May not upgrade soon, but I'm looking for a 65 or 70, possibly just 1080p, for the living room...

We may just end up saving money instead, but will be interested to see all the BF deals...if I could swing one for 500ish that'd be amazing.

1080p is good enough for me at the moment for TV BR and video consoles. Landscaping and a new fence are a bit higher on the list but sub $1000 I could go for not any more than that.

Best Buy has their Prime Day equivalent going on right now and have a Sharp AQUOS 4K TV for $900. My dad has a Sharp HDTV from Best Buy and it's one of the best 55" TV's I've ever seen so my opinion of Sharp is very high. I'm heading to Best Buy to take a look at it tomorrow but it would be nice to get someone else's opinion this? My main concern would be the 60hz refresh rate.

I've been looking at the Vizio M series that recently came out. $1499 for a 65 inch 4K TV is great. I'm just not fully convinced that 4K will ever really take off. There's still no 4K blu Ray players out yet.

There is absolutely no need for a refresh rate higher than 60hz. Nothing has a source output higher than that.

On that note, Plasma display panels will tout 600Hz to get you to go for their set, but the refresh rate itself is 60Hz. The 600Hz value is a product of the refresh rate and number of subfields.

Look up Vizio M series. I believe the TV came out 1-2 months ago. $1499 isn't bad at all for the 65 inch model. The 70 inch model is $2200

I just got the 55 inch 4k for $948 (+tax) at Wal Mart on Sunday.

I got caught up in the hype of #AmazonPrimeDay and when Wal Mart came out with the 55 inch LED RCA I took a leap of faith. Once I received I played with it for a few days and never could get it looking right so I returned it and got the Vizio in it's place... And I have to say, I absolutely love that TV, man. I could watch it all day.

I bought the 50 incher and took it back a week ago. I started having sound issues with the Vizio with audio dropouts. The TV looked great though. Ended up going with a 50 inch Samsung.

The Vizio was a replacement for my 50 inch Samsung plasma that had some clouding issues, but nothing too bad. I had a Samsung soundbar with it and it works fine with the Vizio, so I shouldn't have to worry about any sound issues. I was trying to hold out to Black Friday, but you know how that goes...

The plasma actually looks great in our bedroom, plus now I have at least a 50 inch screen in all three of my rooms (Livingroom, Bedroom & Man Cave).

I'm wanting to bite on the 70" terribly. But the 5" difference from the 65" sure comes at a premium. Thinking of going with the 65" instead.

FYI, I have a lg soundbar that I paired with the Vizio. It was a weird issue because it only occurred when watching my Apple TV. Like I said though it's a great TV. I just think I got a dud.
