    The LG would be superior.

It'll be mainly gaming and watching sports...would that still be your recommendation?

Rtings.com, though not the be-all end-all, does recommend the LG above everything else for both gaming and HDR gaming. That's why I asked Scott if he'd still recommend the B6 as he's around this stuff every day. Nothing beats first hand experience.

That's tough. For movies and sports it'll definitely be superior but gaming it just gets average scores. The B6 is a beautiful set, so I'd say if you can get that one, go with it.

I see we're similar in our view on the time we keep our sets. I've usually sold my older ones to friends, family, co-workers etc. How was the ebay route? Pain free?

I'm looking to get rid of an older 47" LG & a 55" LG and was thinking of the ebay route this time.

I've noticed the mood in here got lighter somehow, not as judgemental. People can post their thoughts on sets without fear of a passionate lecturing lol.

I'll be doing the same thing. I have a 60" Samsung 1080p that I need to get rid of, hoping to get at least $300 for it. Was thinking either craigslist or eBay.

You work at Best Buy, right?

Any chance I could convince a manager at my local store to bring the price back down to $399 on this set?

That's correct, but most likely not. Was the $399 the price on this last week? You might be able to find a good deal on an open box. Last week, we were taking anywhere from 10-30% off Open Box deals, but YMMV.

Ya it was for Cyber Monday too. I used certs and gift cards so I couldn't cancel the order since it takes a couple days to return those. Guess I could have tried in store.

$845 open box at my local store. What do you think I could talk them down to? Any tips for talking to a manager about it? I'd likely buy a 5 year warranty also which I assume might help my cause.

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread

I ordered the KS8000 and a PS4 Pro yesterday morning. The TV from Best Buy and the Pro from Wal Mart (only because it was "available" for pickup that day). Unfortunately, Wal Mart's "same day pick up" isn't what it implies because I've been waiting for over 24 hours now and it still hasn't processed, but hopefully, today is the day.

Anyway, since I was only able to get my TV yesterday, I'll give a quick review of what I've seen so far. First off, I had to use the legs because the screws that worked with my previous TV/mount were too short for this one. I'll have to pick up so new screws this weekend so I can mount it. Other than that everything went swimmingly.

Once I got everything setup I immediately fired up the PS4 and used the Game Setting that was posted yesterday and coming for a decade old LCD TV the "vanilla" PS4 looked way better. I actually won't have any kind of cable or satellite hooked up to this TV, so I tried NetFlix and Amazon Instant Video on the PS4 and the looked really nice. Then I tried them on the TV apps and they looked even better.

I fired up No Country for Old Men on NetFlix and when it started my jaw hit the floor. This is without NetFlix 4k mind you and without HDR, as well. I tried Amazon Instant Video since it has programs in UHD and they looked amazing too. I found that with the settings I was using things looked a little better without HDR, but maybe I just need to find some settings instead of just playing around with it myself. Either way, I'm really happy with this purchase and can't wait to game on the Pro.

Man, I've run out of friends and family to sell my sets too and thats why im doing the Ebay route.

The Ebay route is 50/50. What pisses me off is that there is no penalty for people who bid, win and dont pay. For example, my LG sold for $445 and when the auction is over the guy says basically "I changed my mind". So I have to relist the TV again.

It's that crap that always makes me sketchy of ebay....you'd think they'd have fixed it by now, but sellers get hosed regularly.

What's the smallest sized 4K HDR TV currently available? One with low input lag, of course. I currently use a monitor and play very close to the screen. Don't really want to wait for HDR monitors to come out.
