You can do gaming on it, but it's the most powerful streaming device on the market. I use it as a media server.

That is one device I still don't understand what it is or what it does, is it some sort of PC streaming device, do you need a powerful gaming PC to use it? I really need to read up on it but it's always been unclear to me what it is.

Well I put my old TV, receiver and Xbox One up for sale to some friends on Facebook and my wife saw the post and...well let's just say that post got deleted and I'll have to wait a while for a new receiver or Xbox One S

So I played Diablo for the first time last night on the new Samsung KS850D. I was stunned..STUNNED at how much better it looks in 4K on the PS4 Pro. I know it has no HDR lighting but holy cow, the colors and the lighting (and the glow on items) just POP so much, even my wife said it looked like a whole new game.

We even both noticed details on the new character wings that we never had noticed before with the increased resolution.

Honestly, I never figured Diablo would look so much better on the 4K set since it's such an old game, even though I knew it had gotten a PS4 Pro patch, so I was quite shocked and pleasantly surprised.

So guys, when I go into my settings on my xbox one s, it says I can choose 12 bit, isn't 12 bit Dolby Vision, if so doesn't that mean my set supports Dobly Vison and if so should I put my xbox in that option???

Will is look better?? I cant imagine it giving me the option for 12 bit is my set didn't support it.

How many movies are released in Dolby Vision? Jason Bourne, and... that's about it? Haha just kidding, but it's really slim pickens out there right now.

Dolby vision is an HDR protocol, so even if it was 12 bit that wouldn't necessarily mean it'd support Dolby Vision. What set do you have?

That person doesn't know what they're talking about, hardware must be there to support a protocol but inversely just because you have hardware doesn't mean that your TV will support, or has, that protocol.

Dolby Vision is a licensed technology from Dolby Labs that has to be built into a set and a certain chip has to be there for it. I'm not a super nerd here so I don't know whether all Dolby Vision enabled sets requires a 12 bit set or not.

My guess is it maybe does require a 12 bit and that pixelpixel person has read that somewhere.

But just because your set may be a 12 bit set doesn't necessarily mean it'll support Dolby Vision.

Also, you really can't flat out say that because a TV is 10 bit that it has HDR either. There are many sets out there that are 10 bit panels but do not support HDR.

Do you know the model number of your TV? Is it the Hisense HTC8?
