Ok, here's what I'd do. I'd buy an RCA left-right connector to 3.5mm stereo headset jack and then plug into the back of your Bose 15. This would output all sound from the Bose to your headphones.

I found one on Amazon for $6.99

    https://www.amazon.com/UGREEN-Premiu...s=rca+to+3.5mm

And here is the website that confirms this is how you would do it

Bose Solo 15 Manual Online: Connecting A Tv Headphones Output To The System. If your TV only has a headphones connector, you need a dual RCA-to-3.5 mm stereo cable (not provided) to connect to the Solo 15/10 system. 1. Insert the stereo plug into the TV headphones connector. 2. Insert...

EDIT, wait a second though, this website is showing as if you are connecting your TV *IN* to those ports on your Bose so not sure this would work. I think the diagram on that site showing it as audio *OUT* is wrong...

If it's Audio *OUT* from the Bose it would work.

Ok, reading that Bose manual it shows all those ports as AUDIO OUT as well...which makes no sense because you're feeding audio *IN* to the Bose to output sound to your speakers.

Appreciate the time helping trying to figure it out. There is no headphone jack at all on back of TV. Like you mentioned I need to run a cable form Bose to headset. I am just wondering will a female jack from Bose work?

Well forget what I said before, all connections on that Bose are audio in.

Let me ask you this, what console or other devices are you looking to use those headphones with?

Nope, that wouldn't work as that's what I thought too but that Bose has nothing at all to output any audio, which is quite strange LOL

Well I use apps on Tv to watch Netflix, Hulu and DL movies. I also need sound to go thru headset and tv. I am on the PS4 and tried everything I know to do to get sound to play thru both.

I use to use the Turtle Beach X12 with a 3d sound adapter on the PS4 or on my old plasma had all the ports never had this issue. This sucks spent all this money on this TV and noway to enjoy it and use it.

EDIT: The headset I bought Hyper X works fine when I plug it into the controller on PS4 but then my wife can't hear any sound from Bose or TV when watching movies. Her TV is the same in the bedroom has the same darn outputs on the back. Hers is the 6 series by Samsung.

Well here is a kit for $12.999 that would allow you to output your TV sound directly to your headphones.

                https://www.amazon.com/AutoWT-Digita...tical+to+3.5mm

You'd plug the optical out from your TV to this device and then plug your headphones into this device.

The flaw though is then you would need to manually switch out your tv optical out from this device to your Bose every time you wanted to switch between the Bose and your headphones. So you'd be unplugging and replugging and that's not really ideal either for your sanity or for the optical out port on the tv.

A way around that is to buy this device below for $14.99. Then you could just switch between your headphones and the Bose using this device. It comes with a remote but I found that the remote batteries only lasted about a year. I use this device to switch my Astro A50's from PS4 to Xbox One and it works well.

                https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

So altogether that is $28 and then shipping/tax so I'd guess about $33-35.

You'd have to weigh that against just buying a new Bluetooth capable headphones set which I see the Bose 15 system you use supports. That may be simpler but more money.

Appreciate it man, well I called radio shack and they recommended a Optical 8 inch adapter whatever that is. I have seen several like you recommend as well. Like you said not wanting to spend to much and maybe the blu tooth headset is the fix? I seen youtube videos saying you half to go into the tv settings with a code form remote and make sure u turn on blu tooth on all new tvs seems they have it off.

I wouldn't go that route myself...because for about that price or a little more you could just go completely wireless with a Bluetooth headphones. You could use them either with the TV *OR* pair them to your Bose 15. Either way it would work but if you do the TV pairing you wouldn't have to ensure the Bose was turned on to use your headphones I suppose.

Is it too late to exchange your headphones? If it is you might be able to sell them or trade them in for credit on Amazon.

Here is a set that's rated good (4 stars out of 5) and is $69.99

                    https://www.amazon.com/Cancelling-Wi...oth+headphones

Also, those come with a 3.5mm adapter so you could also plug those directly into the pS4 controller as well like you said you had in the past. That would work when/if the battery ever got low too.

Hey man once again I thank you for taking the time out of your day to help me out. I like the headset you posted and looks very well maid and thats 1 of the things I looked for when buying a headset how sturdy it is. I hate those plastic looking ones. The hyper X wasnt my first choice but for $49.99 and a coupon I had for $20 it only cost me around 32 bucks.

I will be returning it and either picking up the headset off amazon or be maybe buying a Gaming headset thats blue tooth ready.

Went out to get the KS8000 55" panel today but the store has no stock, but did have the new QLED 65" curve on display.
It goes on general sale next Wednesday 29/3.......Nice TV but almost double the price of the 2016 models.
Is it worth the extra dollar or would you say shop around for a KS8000?

Wow, well I know you directed this just in general to all of us but I'm going to weigh in here. I would say no but honestly I'm not that knowledgeable on that television probably to give an educated opinion. I would say that it probably makes the most sense for value to get the KS8000 rather than the new set but with that being said, I ain't gonna lie, if I had the money I'd probably consider getting the newest and the greatest.

Very interesting thing I found, I hook up the same headset to the Xbox one and sound plays thru both tv and headset like i've been wanting. I have no idea why the sound just wont work thru tv and when I use the PS4. I find it funny that the Xbox one controller lets sound come thru headset and TV.
