Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
Such a tough call between these two.
I'm deciding between the Samsung Q8 75" and the LG C8 65"
Both are about the same price (family discount).
To me the LG is an unquestionably better image. The Samsung menu's are nice though and the extra 10 inches in a living room would be a huge plus.
Does either offer better support for audio? I'm wanting to hook up a soundbar with some surround speakers.Comment

Moved in our new home a month ago. Picked up the Samsung NU8000 for the man cave and the TCL 5 Series Roku TV for the bedroom. Both 55 inch. Love both of them."Never trust a big butt and a smile."-Ricky Bell

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
Finally pulled the trigger last night and got the 75" Q8FNA Samsung ordered (should get here just before the college season kicks off). Viewing distance is about 12 foot, and much further than that if in the kitchen (open concept). Just seemed like a better fit for the room. Plus the burn-in on OLED scared me. My wife watches Hallmark basically from the time she gets home to the time she goes to bed every day. I didn't want to see a little Hallmark image in the corner of the screen when I'm watching football lol.
Also getting the 55" Q8FNA for similar reasons as the above (going in my little mancave). I'll sacrifice a little picture quality to better ensure I don't end up with some kind of retention problem on the screen.Comment

Sorry I meant support for external audio. I'm wanting to add a soundbar + some rear speakers, but I guess they would both be about the same.

I’d go with the OLED. That’s just me..

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
I'm deciding between a 85" X900F and 75" Q9F. Probably going to go with the Samsung even at the smaller size because of the reflections on the Sony.
Will miss the 10", but the 75" will be 10" bigger than my current 65".Comment

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
He didn’t mention that but if that’s the case then yes I’d get the bigger screen. I just personally enjoy the picture of an OLED over an LED. Sadly, they don’t make OLED that’s affordable at that price.

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
Yeah the 65" would be too small and the PQ wouldn't be that noticeable.

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
If you stretch it to say $899, you could go with the NU8000, which would be a great one. Native 120hz panel, ability to do over 1 billion plus colors.

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
Any info on the 82" Q8F?
I really want the size as I'll be 14-17' away and the 82" will fill almost all the field of vision. Can't go with 85X900F because of the screen reflections.Comment

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
Pricing will be about $5500. 240 zones, full array, triple antiglare panel, 120 hz, awesome for gaming. Would be a great choice.PSN-Shugarooo
