Can't patch blooming. It's TV specific. But in a lot of cases, when the TV is new blooming is an issue, but it fades away after some time.

So basically you have to decide if you want to give it a couple weeks to a month to see if it improves, or if it bothers you that much then take it back and get another one.

Is this something improving on the sets you see for 400ish or not yet?

Always tempted to upgrade my bedroom tv, but not really looking to spend tons of money...always see the deals but I'm wary

My son's 75" 6 Series TCL looks pretty good to me and for what he paid for it versus all these other so called much better sets it's good enough for the money. Seems like quite a few posters ain't in love with some of these expensive sets. Stuff is made like crap these days anyway why go for your lungs on a marginally better set?

It’s fine that it’s good enough to you. There are always better options out there.

I turned the freesync off, turned game mode to auto(previously set to on) restarted the xbox 1x & HDR seems brighter & blooming GONE! Still not as bright as my KS8500, but its a lot better

Yeah...I just wonder if we'll hit a solid point where cheap stuff is pretty good and the expensive stuff is really more over the top as we go. Like resolution and everything has to stabilize and we don't really need 8k

The cheaper stuff doesn't compare to the OLED honestly

Agreed, especially with the prices coming down.

I may have posted this before, but LG B8 is on sale, I have a 60" KU6300 in my living room and thinking of upgrading. I know I'm going to miss out on HDMI 2.1 and in turn 4k@120hz, any thoughts?

I'm guessing it's been discussed before and I'm missing it, but for the price seems like a good deal. Also, caveat - I can't get larger than 60" based on the space, so it would be the 55" B8.

It's gonna be a big step up. Is it the B8 or B9 though? 55" B9 is at $1299 right now.

                          B8 - $999 at Walmart, and I have a $100 gift card.

I see, still going to be a big step up from your KU6300. I would go for it.

Probably have to go to the store. A good number of things on Walmart website aren't sold directly by Walmart so instead of seeing the Walmart price, you seeing that particular seller price.
