Looking to ditch the plasma and buy another Sony LED, as burn-in terrifies me as I've been "burned" before.

New TV would be in the home theater and looking at an 85" Z9G/Z8H/950H. Thoughts? Pros/Cons? Will not be upgrading the receiver for at least a couple years. Run one cable from the Denon to the TV, everything feeds directly to the receiver, do not use ARC at this point.

I haven’t been real impressed with any of the 8K’s to be honest. I would do a projector instead, that’s a real home theater, not a TV.

Are there DV projectors with an easy drop ceiling mount? I can run a power and HDMI cable behind a screen to the receiver and power strip no issue. Room just fits a stand and TV as there's an alcove where they reside.

No such thing as a Dolby Vision projector.

Went to Best Buy today and Purchased a lg cx 65 inch. It will be delivered on Monday. Also, At BB they STRONGLY recommend getting free delivery unless you can stand up a OLED TV in the back of truck. The Screens can break easy lying on it's side. Just a FYI.

Does anyone with the sony 900h know how to enable 4k gameplay for the xbox and ps pro? I enabled enhanced mode. And it says that I have a 4k signal for viewing video but not playing g games. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I picked mine up and set it and it’s was probably the scariest setup I’ve ever done. I really thought I was going to snap the screen in half.

I'm thinking about canceling my order for the 77" CX and going with the Sony 75" 900h. From what I've seen, the 900h will be getting 4K 120, VRR, and eArc via future firmware updates and It's a lot cheaper, almost two grand cheaper! Someone give me a reason to spend almost 2 grand more on the CX than the 900h. The main thing I don't like about the 900h is the back design, it has a fat cheap looking back.

Make sure that all your HDMI ports on that Sony set support 4K. I have a Sony and only 2 of the 4 support 4K. Never understood why.

Also, try a firmware upgrade as well.

Yup i don't get it either. Both systems are. I think it is something to do with the tv not communicating with my receiver. I say this because when I plug the systems straight into the TV then they are in 4k. It is just weird because my roku is 4k and blu ray player is 4k and they are plugged in the receiver and work fine. Thanks for the reply.

I have the firmware updated to the latest. I plugged it in all four. Still doesn't work unless I plug the sytems straight into the tv. Thanks for the reply.

Are you plugging it into the receiver/sound bar? Are you sure the receiver/sound bar supports 4K? I had that problem with my older Sony sound bar. Ps4 wasn’t recognizing the 4K signal and it was due to the sound bar itself. Had to upgrade that and now it works.

Yes I was. It what I said in a previous post. It was just weird because the roku player and 4k blu ray player was plugged into the same receiver and they worked fine. Receiver is 4k because it worked with the tv that I just got rid of. But problem solved. I got a soundbar and I am just plugging straight into the tv. Just frustrating replacing receiver that isn't broken.
