That’s my fear. My other tv is a LG 4K LED and it’s not top line by any means but you can certainly notice it’s flaws.

Yea I have LCDs at home too and just bought my mom a 55 inch 4K HDR TV and after I put it on the wall for her I started watching the picture and was instantly turned off. I hate to repeat myself but right now nothing comes close to OLED when it comes to picture quality. I’m not ven thinking about buying a 48CX to use as a monitor with my gaming pc, but I feel it might be a bit overkill.

I had a 48” OLED as my monitor and just switched back to a 27” monitor.

Thinking about buying a TV for my mom's house if the stimulus bill passes. I have a 55" CX at home and just cant deal with smaller 1080p TVs anymore. But im not gonna spend that much on another CX when i wouldnt use it as much. Im thinking about either the Q70/Q80, X900H, or VIZIO OLED. All in the same price range around $1000, 55".

Thoughts? Main use is PS5 gaming.

I would personally never do a 1st generation OLED. Plus the Vizio OLED processor just isn’t good. I’d do the Q80 or 900H.

Always appreciate your input, Scott. Think I'll go with the Q80 if I end up getting one.

Anyone watch Wonder Woman on HBO Max? I'm watching it on the Xfinity app on my 77" CX and it does not appear to be 4K, its grainy. Anyone else experience this?

It’s the way the film is shot. I noticed this yesterday as well when watching on the fire tv 4k. I’ll try again later on the Apple TV, but I think it’s the way the film is shot

If it's grainy, that means the detail is preserved.

If it was full of DNR, that's when you would start questioning whether or not it is 4K.

I was going to say you're asking in the wrong thread if you're mentioning TCL in here, but it is the TV thread lol.

I have the 65" 5-series and it's a pretty good TV, but not great for gaming. I have a 27" 4K LG monitor for that. At the time of purchase I just needed something on a budget. I also get my TV from YouTube so it's only 1080p IIRC.

If I watched more 4K blu rays or did some gaming on it I would spend a bit more for a better TV, but to be honest it's a pretty good panel for the money. I'm almost done with my projector setup so It will be used less than it already is so I doubt it gets replaced for several years.

My second projector screen comes in today and I really hope it's as advertised. 120" cinegray with black backing unlike the first one I ordered which was way too transparent so I returned it.

In the end I would like to get a 135" motorized screen, but I'm just not ready to spend hundreds.

Just bought the Q80 a couple days ago. Absolutely love it. The picture is amazing. No complaints whatsoever. There’s a promo for a $400 gift card going on as well when you purchase It.

I noticed Succession is grainy on my KS8000 on HBO Max.
