What do you think is the better option? Bigger TV or slightly better panel smaller and 250 cheaper?

Well the G1 is definitely the better TV due to the EVO panel. The biggest thing is gonna be quality vs quantity. Do you currently have a 65”? Is that size sufficient or would you like something a little bit bigger?

Does the G1 have the free extended warranty? I think they are even covering burn in.

It hasn’t been confirmed whether or not they’re covering burn-in.

@Scott currently making a decision on my next set. Have a 55" CX now. Will be used for gaming, watching cable, and streaming shows/movies.

          Options are the

          77" G1, 65" A90j, 77" A80j, and the 65" Panasonic JZ5100

Anyone stand out when gaming in HDR the most?

Out of those, I would do the G1. Has the EVO panel, so brightest panel, although the A90J has the same panel. The difference is the G1 has 4 HDMI 2.1 ports while the A90J only has 2. Panasonic is a great choice too, but if anything were to happen, you'd have to ship that to the UK.

I have a 65 c8 that I would replace. I know alot of the c1 are rumored to have the Evo panel. Would be nice for 77, but struggling with decision and want to order tonight.

Those are just rumors, it doesn't have the additional heatsink.

I decided to go with the 77 c1. Went through GreenToe for the first time. As my wife likes to say we are TV "poor" lol.

I'll have the C1 in basement, move the c8 to livingroom and the 65 KS8000 to my bedroom. My kids rooms all have Sony 55 inch TV lol..3 more.

This seems like a good TV, has Dolby Vision and Atmos, also 120Hz

Edit: Didn't want to make another post but is OLED better or similar to QLED?

OLED is better than QLED. "Q"LED is just samsung marketing junk.

There are tons of post in this thread about the C1 if you want to go back and read about it.

The CX is last years model, but from what I have seen (maybe others can tell different) they are 99.99% similar, but the CX is cheaper per inch. You an go up to a 55 and only pay $50 more.

I finally bought the CX but I've noticed the sound is not good with action shows. If I'm listening to a random comedy, the volume will be set to 20-30 and be very good. If I watch an action movie or TV show, I have to put the volume up to 70 or full volume and it's still not good. I'm not worried about the quality, I just can't hear it. I just watched Suicide Squad on HBO Max and Arrowverse shows on Netflix and I need those at top volume. Is there something I can do about that?

On that note, I seem to notice that about TV sound. It's weird, like they don't run on the same decibel system as receivers (in its logarithmic scale, every 10dB = twice as loud). They must have limiters on certain frequencies or operate on a different scale or something.

There are plenty of sound settings to try. Not sure how many of the AI settings are there on the CX but they make a huge difference. The sound isn't terrible on the C1 but it's only adequate.
