How do you feel about that tv. I'm kind of curious. I'm not sure I like it.

It’s a pure entry level tv. If you like the size that’s fine, but you’ll definitely need to spend more if you’re looking for better performance. Overall, it doesn’t get very bright and it doesn’t have good contrast.

For you cx/c1 owners how the brightness & are you worried about burn in at all, is it covered under warranty. Seems to be the most recommended tv

The brightness is fine. Don't worry about it.

I got the cx around a month and a half ago and I do worry about burn in being I seem to have bad luck with tech breaking/having issues on me. I got the 5 year warranty threw Best Buy that covers burn in so if I have burn in hopefully its in that time frame. About brightness I would say the whole it not being bright thing is over blown a lot. I had the Samsung ks8000 led tv before this tv for around 4 and a half years and the cx doesn't seem any less bright to me then the ks8000.

I got mine a year ago. Brightness aint the brightest but its bright enough forsure. 1,732 total hours so far. ZERO burn-in whatsoever. Back in 2016 or so, burn-in was maybe a bit of an issue. Now? you might get burn in around the same time youre ready for a new TV. LG is somehow saying it can go for 100,000 hours, but even if it lasts 15,000, that's over 8 years for me.

One of my TVs is suddenly showing some bright circle in the middle of the screen.

Looking around, people seem to suggest one of the things glued onto the backlight might have come off, and simply gluing it back on should fix the problem.

However, seems like actually getting into that part of the TV could be a real pain and require quite a lot of dismantling the TV.

I have had my CX for over 6 months now and its has Zero Signs of burn in. I don't even worry about that anymore.

Not sure about the manufacturers warranty, but after that I'm pretty sure Best Buy's warranty is the only one that covers burn in. Maybe Costco's does?

It doesn’t but Yes, Best Buy’s protection plan does cover it.

Earlier in this thread I complained about my C6 having pretty bad burn in. I bought a CX a few months ago. The reason I stayed with LG I’m not allowed to go into but I can say I felt comfortable staying with them and recommend them.

I believe Abt's Extended Warranty does as well. Not 100% sure but I work there now so I'll know asap.

If it's a SquareTrade warranty, then it just extends the manufacturer warranty, which does not cover burn in.

                              Are burn-ins covered under warranty?
Since burn-in occurs due to out of normal viewing conditions, it is not covered under warranty by most manufacturers, or by your Allstate Protection Plan.

Hoping Scott can give his expert opinion here.

I'm looking at a lg 77C1 for 2999 OTD or a 65G1 3000 OTD with 250 back in Visa gift cards.

What do you think is the better option? Bigger TV or slightly better panel smaller and 250 cheaper?
