Do any of you guys or gals use filmmaker mode if it's available to you? I have an LG tv & I have that option. Is it better than movie or cinema?

If it's available like in non-Dolby Vision, I will see how it looks. If it's too dark or just doesn't look right to me, I will go with cinema or cinema home.

Ok thanks. I'll mess around with it & see how it goes.

I think it uses some online ai to see what you are watching and if the film is in their database, it will adjust the settings to what the film maker intended it to be. Otherwise it should be the same as movie/cinema modes.

                  Q80 because of the full-array.

That’s not correct, Filmmaker mode turns off all processing.

Could have been a bad panel, I only refer to Rtings for specs, I don't care what they have to say about reviews.

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread

Just ordered a U8G to play the Hisense panel lottery!

I had a C1, but it had some noticeable red tinting on the left side that I couldn't unsee. I was moving at the time and just had them take it vs replacing. Not terrible timing. That was early December. Been rocking a 2009 Panny 720p plasma. In all honestly it's a better TV for viewing sports than the C1 was.

I decided to go with a more budget friendly set based on recent usage. We have a 10 month old and our movie watching and my gaming has gone to near zero. I could also see her launching something hard into the screen even though I have deemed the TV room a soft toy only zone. I figure I'll be better off getting an OLED or see how the mini-LED tech has come along in 2-3 years.

Or maybe I won't be able to stand this TV and go right back to a C1

Of course, I would choose OLED technology and I don't even think it's necessary to explain why.
