LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread

I think my local Best Buy had has one according to the website going to go check and see tomorrow. This could do wonders for games like Madden that has are dark at times on the regular OLED

I really don't think it's the TV that's the problem for when it gets really dark during gameplay if that's what you're talking about. That's a Madden issue. Tons of people without OLEDs see the same thing.

      I just wanted to clarify.

I'm still rolling with my CX, still loving it, I don't see a need to upgrade anytime soon.

Should warm 1 or warm 2 on tv's always be used when watching movies? I've used medium for sometime but I'm leaning more to the warm settings as my eyes are slowly adjusting to it. Thanks.

Ok thanks. I'll probably be sticking with warm 2 as well.

You can definitely notice the difference in the first one, the other two were a little subtle. But they look really really good.

For me, I'm perfectly content with my C1 and I'm five years out at least, before the wife would ever let me look at a TV that's not mine.

But I do enjoy seeing this new tech. It makes me happy in a way that I have to wait five years, because imagine what we will have by then.

Just placed my order thru Best Buy for the 55" S95B coming Wed 27th. I have an OLED CX I'm going to get rid of if anybody is looking also

I would have looked into pulling the trigger on this set as well, but with Samsung never supporting Dolby Vision, which is the format I use all the time, I can't support this set. Especially since I use my XSX in DV, I don;t want to lose that.

Let me know how it is when you get it.

Hopefully I'll have my impressions up Wed. Going to compare between my CX. I agree with you on DV. Hopefully the Sony has DV on it's set.

I'm still with my CX as well, still enjoy it. I may update but probably not this year.
