    What's a good 4k streaming device?

I'm setting up my C2 and the app store there doesn't have a few apps that I really want. I want Fox Sports, NBC Sports, and TNT

Apple TV and Nvidia Shield are the 2 best ones. Followed next by Roku & Amazon

I'll check it out. Feels like that LG store only has CBS Sports as the Sports apps.

Might do Roku since it is 50% at $24.99

Edit: might go with the 4k Amazon fire stick instead. I have an older basic fire stick and it has all the apps I'm looking for. So will go with the fire stick since I know what I'm getting

I'm an Apple fanboy, but went Roku due to the price. I have two of the Express 4K+ (the ones that do 5G wifi) and haven't had any issues.

I'm leaning towards the 4k Firestick Max. Was going to do the regular 4k Firestick since that and Roku 4k Streaming Stick is the same price at $24.99. But might pay a little extra for the Max. Main difference seems to be WiFi 6 support. I have a good wifi 6 router. Since it'll likely be my main source of watching content, I rather take advantage of my wifi 6 router.

Originally was going to do Roku, but since I know the Firestick has the apps I want, I rather stick with what I know

Edit: I decided to get the Amaxon Firestick 4k Max. I debated back and forth between that and the Roku streaming stick 4k. I'm sticking with what I know. I can put up with the cluttered user interface and the persistent ads. With the mobile ads, I can go directly to the Ada I want anyway. I'll pick it it up after work and set it up tonight so I can use it tomorrow

The fire sticks aren’t bad, but way too much Amazon advertising on them. Tried them all and in all honesty the Apple TV is the most expensive but it’s also the best one easily.

I researched the top 4 streaming devices. Apple TV does seem like the best one. I can put up the advertising.

I'm setting up the apps now. The goal is just use the Fire mobile app and just quickly switch to apps from there to bypass most of the ads.

Edit: just got done installing and linking up all the main apps on my Firestick. So tomorrow, I can finally start to use the C2. I already tinkered with the TV/pictures modes for the main inputs. I looked at a lot of videos. I can't do Warm 50. The most warm I can get is Warm 30. I'm not a purist lol.

Warm 50 is the best. You just have to get used to it. Once you rock warm 50 for a while your eyes will adjust. The moment you do less than that you’ll start to see the picture looks bluish.

Anything but a Firestick is limiting.

I'll give it a try the next time I have a chance to watch something. I just never cared for the warm tint in pictures and videos. For me, the warm tint sticks out more than the blueish colors. I always usually go neutral 0.

Only issue I have with Firestick in the past is that the advertisements on the YouTube app were always ridiculously long. Other than that, I can deal with the other stuff. I have all the apps I'll use downloaded and I can use the Mobile app to switch between apps. So I don't have to really deal then trying to force feed advertising.

If you calibrate correctly, warm isn't actually warm. You just have to adjust to what true white actually is.

Yeah, might have to continue to tinker with it. I think it's because my phone has a OLED screen and I had the display set to Vivid for last 2 years because it's only that and natural display setting, so that makes that transition a little harder. But now just switching my Phone's display to Natural, it's closer to what the C2 is showing me at Warm 50. I think I'm just too accustomed to colors "popping" more for the last few years.

Finally starting to game on the C2, really enjoying it so far. Used Warm 50, to get use to it. Playing Spiderman Miles Morales for the second time. Really makes a huge difference playing Performance RT mode on 120hz mode with VRR. Playing the game with the Frame Rate going between 70-100 frames really makes for a very smooth responsive gameplay experience

I'm enjoying the C2. I am getting use to the Warm 50. My issue was like I said, I had my phone display set to Vivid for the past two years. So, I got use to seeing colors "pop" more. I've set my phone to Natural for the past 5 days and it is closer to what I see on Warm 50. It's still a transition even with having my Phone set to Natural. But I'll get use to it sooner than later.

I haven't watched 4k movies/content yet. I don't even notice the warmer colors on gaming. I'm loving the 120hz mode. I do notice the warmer color on videos. That's what I'm still adjusting too. I was watching one of my daughter YouTube videos on the C2 and on my phone while set to Vivid. That's what made it harder at first. So when I switched my phone to Natural, it looked closer to the C2.
