I'm disappointed that whole Brian situation wrapped up so quickly. I figured that was going to carry us through the second half of the season. I mostly enjoyed the episode though. It was a pretty nice change of pace.
Also, I feel like even though they wrapped up this episode quicker than I thought they would, there's still going to be some lasting effects of it. My feeling is that this trip to Nebraska is at some point going to come back to be what gets Dexter caught. He was out of control with Brian at his side and left a trail with the girl at the store and Jonah's neighbor knowing/seeing him, leaving Jonah alive, and not disposing of that one guy's body the way he usually does.
My theory is that the big twist of this season isn't whether or not Professor Gellar is imaginary or not, but that Deb finds out about Dexter and the Nebraska road trip puts Miami Metro on his trail, making the 7th season the final one.
