    Re: Dexter (Season 6)

They're valid criticisms that Seymour makes so it doesn't bother me that much. But I know I tend to like to put the blinders on with things I like instead of ruining them for myself by seeing all of that.

No need to stop posting here though. Like it's been said, it's not like you're trolling or pushing an agenda, so it's all good.

So back on topic: Mr. Wants Theories still hasn't shared his just yet.

        What's up with that?

I will say that I was disappointed with how that episode turned out though. After the Brian return and the preview for it I thought it had great potential to be one of those classic thrilling episodes but it just did not live up to that at all unfortunately.

But with how reckless Dexter was acting this episode I'm kind of hoping it will lead to the season finale having someone close to him suspecting or discovering what he really is.

Not sure if I missed it, but Dexter has been renewed for its 7th and 8th season

First time I heard about it. Great news, even though it was a shoo in for a 7th. Somewhat surprising that they gave it a two year renewal, but I didn't know the ratings were that much through the roof.

                  Re: Dexter (Season 6)

Am mixed about it. Would really of rather had Season 7 been the last season, but I'm hoping the end of season 6 can maybe at least start a little of the end cause I love Dexter but to me was a show that should of been 5 seasons, going out to 8 seasons is dragging it out.

But I'm hopeful they will find a way to re-invent the show or do something to keep it fresh after this season.

Yeah. I think it would have been in their best interests, as far as quality of the show is concerned, to end the show well before an 8th season unless they can come up with a new direction for it that wows us. However, given how high the ratings still are I can see why they'd continue to renew it. I know people who purchased Showtime solely to watch Dexter, so it makes sense/cents to keep it going as long as they can.

Call me crazy, but with the intern guy's odd fascination with Dexter, and his suggestion to use a new search engine. I think he's going to find some stuff out about Dexter and his hobbies.

                        Re: Dexter (Season 6)

                        Predictions:

-Louis' search engine allows him to see what Dexter searches. Obviously that's going to lead to some things being found out.

-The person LaGuerta talked to on the phone after telling Deb to close that case of the dead blonde girl was Batista and he's going to make a "heel turn" with the both of them getting Deb kicked off as Lieutenant (or at least attempting to).

-Deb's therapist is going to be the one to make Deb finally realize that something is up with Dexter. Although I guess I can't really call this a prediction since they've already hinted at it with tonight's episode.

Anyways, this episode was pretty bland IMO. I thought something crazy was going to happen at the end, but nothing ever did. They're continuing to have those convenient moments where Gellar isn't seen by anyone but Travis. I know it's so blatantly obvious that he is imaginary, but part of me feels like the writers and all the people behind the scenes wanted it to seem this way so most viewers, like those of us here, think he isn't real, only to have that moment where someone that isn't Travis finally does see him.

I buy the theory on Deb and her shrink and the intern finding out some things on Dexter.

It's frustrating that Deb is so bright yet so dimwitted at the same time. She's standing five feet from a woman facing the same challenges in her life and yet she can't see how she should notice the same issues?

She even says: "I could tell she knew something was up with her brother."

So duh! Why don't you see it with yours? The woman practically spit out your autobiography when telling you about her life.

I just don't get why Deb is written to be so clueless.

Happens all the time, wives, parents, siblings, friends, neighbors of people who do heinous things say "he seemed like a normal guy, but looking back on it I should have seen the signs". Dahmer's father thought his dissecting of animals was just curiosity, Ridgway's wife dismissed the signs.

I think Deb is very bright as far as analyzing things with cases, clues (and I'm glad shes come along here, instead of Dexter slipping her clues all the time)

She just isn't good with people....which I can understand.....because alot of people are like this....including Dexter if you think about it. I think it adds to her character.

That said, I'm not a big fan of 'whiny Deb', I absolutely hate that face she makes when she's about to start *****ing.

Did Dex really have to reveal himself to Hanks character though? Seems like he's alot more loose with his identity.
