I ****ing hate previews. I forgot to change the channel and accidentally saw *insert spoiler that pissed me off*.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 2)
So what were they planning to do if they successfully pulled that zombie out of the well anyway? That thing was bloody already. Who in their right mind would drink that water if they successfully pulled off that little caper?
Or did they just realize they needed a little gore in the episode?Michigan WolverinesChicago White SoxComment

They had said earlier that the well was their second well of five and was for the animals.
Besides...wells are not stagnant pools of water.....after a while if you can remove the contamination...a contaminated well will eventually regenerate.
But do we really need to read that far into it as far as the show?!

Overall it was a decent episode considering that Glenn got some. It was slow moving and to me didn't really move the story forward besides the garbage with Lori. I like the show but I fear the worst when Shane finds out. He's already lost it this will send him over the edge and I see the mid season finale being Rick vs. Shane going into the winter return. They need to leave us with a cliffhanger.Comment

Well, yes. Because this isn't some mindless show. It's a show that makes you think.
And there could have been a piece of the zombie in the water or something that would have just continued to contaminate the water. I just thought it was a weird scene that didn't do anything but show gore.Michigan WolverinesChicago White SoxComment

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 2)
I think the scene had a purpose. They had reason. Their reasoning was just flawed which is okay. It makes me appreciate the show for allowing the characters to make mistakes instead of constantly being heroes.
That's why, though the searching for the girl storyline has been a long process, it's okay with me. These characters are basically going day-by-day in each episode and shouldn't be able to instantly find a little girl just because. Of course, if the girl just ends up hanging out in the woods, I'd be disappointed. It's probably safe to assume something is up and that's why she hasn't ventured back to the highway.
I thought last night's episode was one of the best this season. Lots of characters getting screen time with interesting little plots. I understand Rick, Shane and Lori are the main characters in the main A plot, but finally giving them less than 35 minutes of air-time is a win for this show. There's like 10 people in the group. Show them living."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Maybe Sophia is with Merle?
I would think there has to be some serious conflict when Merle appears. He was chained up and was able to get free, he isn't going to be happy with those guys and Darryl will have to choose between the group and his brother?Last edited by Brandwin; 11-07-2011, 12:29 PM.Comment

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 2)
I scene what you did there!
I think the well scene had less to do with the gore and more of an "oh $%# moment for Glenn(and then him showing he got it done even under pressure) more than anything else.
This show is kind of the anti-24. With that show it would annoy the heck out of me that every five minutes was "the world is on the brink of disaster"...with this one changing...that one conniving with this one and constantly back and forth.
I loved the show, but it was a bit much sometimes.
This one is laid back with the "oh %$*&" moments interspersed. More "realistic"(if you can call a show about zombies realistic!) IMO.

The scene was far more valuable than that.Comment
