NBC is planning a Dwight Schrute spin off show for midseason in 2013.

None of the main cast members are under contract for a Season 9 right now but NBC is trying to sign everybody up right now (I don't see Helms or Krasinski sticking around)
A Dwight spin-off is a stupid idea. He's just not a character to build a show around.

I could see Krasinski sticking around. Obviously I don't know the guy, but he seems like the kind of guy that knows why he's famous, and would feel a sense of loyalty to the show.

I won't watch a Dwight spin-off. I'm tired of The Office franchise and I actually prefer it to end after this season.

I think Krasinski wants to do more movies and even work behind the scenes. 8 seasons is a long time. I'm sure he's sick of playing Jim by now.

Meh it has potential, we'll see.

Him and Jim/Pam are the only options for a spinoff imo, anyone else would suck I think

              Give Creed the spinoff.

              I'd watch that.

While guys like Kevin/Creed would be interesting, could u really focus a whole show to them compared to their usual few minutes here and there?

                  No you could not.

Just my opinion guys, I don't understand the love for Creed. My favorite scene with him was not even one of the episodes. It was when Jesse Pinkman sold him some blue (supposedly) meth.

I wouldn't watch a Creed show, but he is great on the office. Just search Creed Bratton on youtube.

I started watching the series from the 7th season only, now watching the first ones to get everything right, and Michael has already become my favorite, too bad he's no longer a boss...

I thought the exact opposite. I wish they'd just put this show to bed. I was the biggest fan through season 4, but when half of your shows existence is just not good, theres a problem. It all stems to when the two main writers left for Parks and Rec. Look at how fantastic that show is compared to The Office now. The writing team led by Mindy Kaling and and BJ Novak just doesn't cut it. They were fine as secondary writers, in fact they wrote some really good episodes early on, but that was with Michael Schur and Greg Daniels leading everything. Then they lose one of the only consistently, often tiring but funny characters, and instead of riding out into the sunset as he followed Holly to Colorado, they try to recreate the wheel. This show has no spark and nothing original anymore. I miss the days where I would laugh my *** off at this show. Seasons 2-4 were easily some of the best seasons of TV I've watched.

I actually like this season a ton more than last season. I think it's been funny again, as I thought Steve Carrel stopped being funny a couple years ago. I enjoyed it more than the other two Thursday shows this season, Community and Big Bang Theory (though the latter has started to get better to me).
