I used to hate screaming until I heard Chapter Four by Avenged Sevenfold on Madden 2004. Fell in love with them just in time for them to ditch screaming and blow up into the mainstream haha. Now I have no problem with screaming. Back before I graduated high school in 2005 the heaviest band I listened to was Nirvana. Now my taste is all over the map when it comes to rock.

I like the screaming that goes with the clean vocals. Too much, and too overdone, ruins it for me. When it compliments the whole thing is when it's best.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Re: Official Rock music thread
the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is on HBO Tonight, although I believe it was filmed a few weeks ago, before MCA Adam Yauch died, but I don't think he made the ceremony anyways for the Beastie Boys induction due to being too ill (no pun intended). Also inducted this year are Guns n Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Donovan, and Freddie King.Comment

Re: Official Rock music thread
Do the bands pick who introduce them? Green Day introducing GnR has made little sense to me since they were announced to do it. Unless the bands share a close relationship that I don't know about the choice seems kind of odd.

Yeah it's kinda odd. I definitely prefer Green Day over Guns n Roses though hahaComment

NFL: Philadelphia Eagles
NBA: Chicago Bulls, Minnesota Timberwolves
European Football: Manchester United, Brighton & Hove Albion

Re: Official Rock music thread
I think Warning is one of their best albums, and I loved American Idiot when it came out but it got really overplayed by pop-radio. 21st Century Breakdown has grown on me, but it isn't as good previous albums. Nimrod is still my favorite.Comment

Waking the Fallen is easily my all time favorite a7x album. Love it from beginning to end. I don't use the word often but I feel like they went for an "epic" sound and it worked.
I also agree that from Warning on, Green Day fell off, at least for me. You could even sense it with Nimrod, even though I love that album anyway. Kerplunk!, Dookie, Insomniac, and Nimrod are my favorites.Wolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika ChristensenComment

I liked Nightmare better than Self Titled actually haha. Waking The Fallen and City of Evil are definitely my favorite albums though. ST7T has it's moments too.
