But that's not the RS-62 II version which would timbre-match. Either way, that still takes some convincing to do wall-mounting.

For now, I'm super content that I got the upgrades that I did. We'll see what else I can sneak in some day.
    Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60

It is a never ending cycle. I swapped out my Sony projector for the Epson 5030UB because of black levels and a dynamic iris and couldn't resist getting the new Screen Innovations Slate screen. It seems like every 6 months or so there's something new. I have decided that after this is done, I am going to stop adding for a while.

        Re: The Audiophile Thread

Welp, change of plans. Ended up ordering the following Klipsch speakers:

        Fronts: RP-280F
        Center: RP-440C
        Surrounds: RP-240S

Was fully planning on getting the RF-82 II series but was able to get something like 25% off of all of these online from Nebraska Furniture Mart. I'm a sucker for brand new things, unfortunately. I'm sure it would've been better if I had gone for the 450C / 250S but wanted to save a bit extra. Hopefully it'll still sound good.

Now just gotta figure out the right receiver to power these things.

Certainly wasn't trying to! But the cost ended up being a little bit less than if I had gone for a brand new RF-82 II setup, so I figured it was a no brainer. I probably could've waited to try for a discount on the RF-82s, but patience has never been a strength of mine haha.

Just got done repainting the theater room. Just have to get my Screen Innovations screen in and my new Sony 55es projector and I'll post some pics.

After reading several reviews, went ahead and joined the Sonos bandwagon. Ordered 2 Play 3's and 1 Play 5. The builders for my house wanted a king's ransom to wire the house for audio. Figured this would be the next closest thing.

Trying to decide on which sub to get and can't quite figure it out. Any of you guys want to make my decision for me?

                    Down to these two:

SVS builds speakers, subwoofers and audio accessories for music and home theater surround sound systems. Proudly engineered in Youngstown, Ohio.

The new VTF-3 MK5 HP is considered a best value subwoofer that doesn't skip on performance. A subwoofer that is our best value and a bargain amongst 15" subwoofers.

I get charged tax by SVS, so it only ends up being about a $65 difference.

As you know, I have an SVS PC13-Ultra and I love it. I hear great things about the PB-2000.

Oh, and it's interesting that you get taxed for it. Not only did I not have to pay tax or shipping, but they have a 45 day return policy as well. You can't lose with SVS!

I was always pretty set on the PB-2000 but after stumbling across the Hsu, it seems like a pretty good value as well. 15" driver on the Hsu vs. 12" on the SVS.

Yeah for some reason Washington is one of the handful of states SVS charges tax. And that 45 day return policy is one of the things that's most tempting about going with SVS, especially since they pay for return shipping as well.

Don't know if you listen to the AVRant podcast, but they are always singing the praises of SVS subs. However, they do recommend Hsu and Powersound subs if you need a monster sub at reasonable prices.

Will do, it'll be a few months from now though. Will fire them up this weekend and try them out. Would have rather gone for a cheaper and more permanent solution , but the builders don't allow any 3rd party work to be done.

Once the drywall goes up it would be way more expensive than just going with Sonos. Can't believe they wanted to charge $550 for HD wiring setup (ethernet, HDMI, component, RCA) in just 1 spot.

Wow. That's ridiculous. Thankfully my builder let me do my own home theater wiring.
