Anyone else watching Series of Unfortunate Events? I'm 3 episodes away from finishing 2nd season. I liked the first few books from S1 the best of all, but S2 is still good.

The Carter effect. Really good stuff. Basically how Vince Carter brought basketball to life in Toronto and the impact he had.

Regardless how his career ended up after the Raptors, I think that alone should get him into the basketball hall of fame. How many athletes can say they had the impact and influence on an entire country that Carter had on Canada?

I agree. He changed Toronto from being a laughing stock to a respectable franchise. And changed hoops in Canada forever.

Not to mention his artistry in the slam dunk contest. Things he did had never been done before. He was transcendent in that aspect. He had a nice college career at UNC. The only thing that alludes him is being a champion.

He's a hall of famer in my book. And he had a tremendous peak. And is still playing at a decent level ,which speaks to his longevity.

Hearing what the people (I believe at Puma?) said about how much they were hoping he didn't get drafted by Toronto makes me wonder just how many other times something like that might have happened. I know times have changed, but you have to think some sponsors might steer guys in certain directions.


If next season is his last, I hope he ends it with the Warriors. It's the perfect way to go out. With the team that drafted him, playing his final season in the final season of the arena where he really made his name(all star weekend 2000), being teammates with Steph Curry(who VC has a long history with), and then possibly going out as NBA Champion. Talk about a fitting final season.

I don't think I liked it at all, truthfully. Hated every single character (aside from Penny, most of the time), but I'll probably still end up forcing myself to watch season two.

didn't really like (it had a couple moments), but for some reason felt I had to get all caught up anyway

I just finished the German TV show The Same Sky. Good show, but I’m into that genre.

Just finished The Evil Genius documentary about the pizza delivery bomber. Pretty good, a lot of info I never knew about the case.

Just started Person of Interest. Its got me hooked after halfway through season 1

What great ride that show is. Gets better every season. The last season is worth watching, but they do struggle a bit to tie it all together. But all in all, its fantastic from start to finish.
