Yes, I would have gone for a slightly altered ending (I have one in my mind).

I get what they were going with thematically though, which is something I appreciated about the movie if you look at it less than just "pure horror/thriller" and more like The Babadook.

I liked Bird Box decently. It wasn’t fantastic, but it was solid.

I’m starting the BBC series Bodyguard now.

Been watching "You" and still can't figure out if I like it or not. The premise is right up my alley but so far I don't like a single character on the show other than maybe the kid in the hall.

There are elements of Fight Club and Dexter (narrator purposes), and I love both of those, but something isn't working for me

Ironically, right after reading this I walked out into the other room to see my grandpa watching The Temple of Doom on Paramount Network. Now it is on The Last Crusade.

I told him about it being on Netflix to watch it commercial-free if he wanted, but this is just more convenient and lazy like we are!

I feel the same way about Rocky V. "My ring's outside" - classic!

The Umbrella Academy premieres February 15th. In the first book that the series is based on the time setting is 1977 and the huge alternate world fact is that JFK was never assassinated. The time setting appears to be present day in the TV adaptation.

Interesting that Ellen Page's character is without superpowers, although she is called The White Violin and is an expert on that instrument.

Also, for those that don't know, the comic book was created by Gerard Way (singer from My Chemical Romance) and is highly rated. Definitely worth checking out.

Both main characters are incredibly unlikable.
