Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3)
I never was one who complained about the pacing of the show. I thought the time spent on Hershel's farm was well crafted and needed for character development. In season 3 things have sort of moved at a frantic pace at times.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

AMC Changes New Year’s The Walking Dead Full Series Marathon: Now It’s Just Season 3
They announced this full series marathon during the original broadcast of Season 3, Episode 8, “Made to Suffer.” It was supposed to start with the Season 1 pilot at 9 a.m. on Monday, December 31, 2012, and continue with Seasons 2 and 3 before ending on Wednesday, January 2, 2013. Instead, the new schedule is just the eight episodes of Season 3, starting with “Seed” at 9 p.m. on Monday, December 31 and ending with “Made to Suffer” at 4 a.m. on January 1.
I'm so salty because I just started watching this show starting season 3 and I wanted to catch up on the entire series. I know I could watch it some other way like via Netflix but I don't have a Netflix subscription because I don't watch much TV or movies.Comment

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 3)
I played through the Walking Dead recently and loved the game so much it made me want to check out the TV show. I went through the seasons 1-3 on Netflix and Xbox Video in a few days. Can't wait for it to start back up.
A few things from Season 3:
SpoilerThis season was probably my least favorite so far, but I still found it pretty enjoyable. I absolutely loved the way the first episode started with them clearing out that house. Everyone was moving in silence as a unit, showing that they had obviously been doing this kind of thing for a while. When all they found was dog food and their faces dropped it really portrayed how bleak their situation was. It just thought that opening was really well done, much like the one in the first season.
Another thing I liked about that opening was how everyone was battling with the walkers, including young Carl. He really starting to fill some adult shoes this season.
When Hershel got bit I was like damn, because I really like him as a character. I was glad to see that they were able to save him at least for now.
I'm not really a big fan of any of the women on the show save Maggie, but man was I glad to see Lori get taken out of the picture. She really rubbed me the wrong way since the first season and she came off like a total bitch. Definitely not missing her at all.
I thought the Governor played his part really well. He really had the whole creepy/charismatic vibe down to the science. I'm really interested to see how everything progresses now with him Merle, Daryl, and Andrea after watching the season 3 conclusion.
Good series overall, glad I checked it out.Last edited by Pappy Knuckles; 01-04-2013, 02:17 AM.Comment

This apparently aired during the Super Bowl in some markets. Didn't air in mine.
