Re: The Bourne Legacy
It isn't going to be the same without Matt Damon.
But I'll still see this.Comment

At first, I was disappointed Matt Damon wouldn't be in the film. But Jeremy Renner is a damn good actor. Could be the next Damon/Cruise of the action genre. Edward Norton is one of my favorites, so seeing him in the movie is a plus. Looks like the film will due the Bourne franchise justice.Comment

Re: The Bourne Legacy
This looks great. Makes me feel the need to watch the first three movies. I've never seen them, aside from bits and pieces of the first.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: The Bourne Legacy
I think Jeremy Renner could even be a good James Bond.<iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/2eUaZjppPm8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Re: The Bourne Legacy
You're missing out. All three are damn entertaining movies.
Also - that was a much better trailer than the original one. The fact that it will directly connect with the original trilogy makes it much more intriguing for me. I'll definitely see this now, probably even in theaters.Last edited by Beantown; 06-01-2012, 09:08 AM.Comment

Re: The Bourne Legacy
Coming out this Friday.
Ouch, though. Though only a handful of reviews, it's at a shallow 43% so far on RT:

I've avoided looking at most commercials and trailers for the most part, but I've "heard" them, and from what I can hear, it's just too over the top compared to the other Bourne films. Greengrass especially grounded his films, and he did it very well. I can't say the same for this film, but I will still definitely be seeing it.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: The Bourne Legacy
I saw it tonight and I have mixed feelings about it.
SpoilerThe abrupt, cliffhanger ending was quite frustrating. All three of the originals told stories that had a defined end, but were still tied together. Jeremy Renner was great, and the action scenes were fantastic. It definitely felt like a Bourne film. The story left a lot to be desired and raised a lot of questions that were left unanswered. The movie was 2 hours long, but I feel like you could edit it down to about 40 minutes and still tell the exact same story.Kansas City Royals | FC Barcelona | New Orleans Pelicans

Re: The Bourne Legacy
Unless they can get Damon to come back for some kind of spy vs spy **** I still don't get why they needed to connect this to the other movies.
Hopefully someday we can get some films that follow the books more closely.

Re: The Bourne Legacy
I liked the pacing and the overall feel but....
Spoiler
the timing of the ending. Way too abrupt. If you weren't keeping a watch of movie time, the final chase scene didn't feel like an "end of the movie" moment. They get on the boat and the credits start rolling.
Everyone in the theater stayed in their seat as if we were collectively all wondering "Is that it?"
