Tyrion is badass, plain and simple. When I first started watching this show last season it was hard taking him serious since seeing him in previous roles he was more in comedies. He really has stepped it up GOT and he is one to watch out for from a character standpoint.

Good episode...the shadow baby was awesome, Stannis was actually pretty good this week, and Joffrey, that's not what you're supposed to do with two ready and willing women. Oh, and "Talisa from Volantis, the sweet battlefield nurse" has to be Jeyne. Not bad, Robb, not bad at all.



EDIT: Another thing I was happy to see was hearing how to pronounce "Xaro Xhoan Daxos". That name gave me fits!

WHAT THE **** WAS THAT?!?!? Good gawd Melisandre. That was weirdly hot.

As usual, Tyrion was great; Joffrey was being a prick instead of sticking his prick in there; and Robb will break some Frey hearts. Good thing she's a looker.

It's makes me hope they are saving all that money for the "battle of blackwater" it gives me hope Martin is writing that episode. But I don't see battles being a major part of the story telling here.

I've heard about that and I'm optimistic it'll be an overly awesome one.

Yes, the battles aren't a major part of the story-telling but no one can deny that it would be cool to see every now and then.

Why was Robb buttering up that medic? To show his love for the ladies to explain why he goes against his obligation to the Frey's?

I swore my eyes had deceived me and even went back and checked but the scene with Davos and Melisandre in the boat happens after Renly is killed. A small thing but just something I noticed.

Awesome episode though. The additions like Joffrey being despicable and even Tywin allowing the Lannister's to hang their heads a little higher were all worthy additions to the story. Can't wait for next week!

Robb is buttering up the medic because the show does not follow the book exactly she will probably represent Jeyne.

I'm guessing that this girl is the girl that Robb falls for (ie, a replacement for the book's Jeyne Westerling). Why the change? My guess is that they're looking ahead to the Jeyne Poole/fake Arya/Reek storyline in ADWD and don't want two "Jeynes" (much as they changed Asha to Yara)

They're switching the two scenes because it works better on TV. Clearly this shadow is the one that's going to kill Renly (likely at the beginning of next week's ep). The murder of the castellan of Storm's End by the second shadow won't be shown (might not even be referenced). HBO will probably skip having Storm's End hold out and have most of Renly's forces switch allegiances to Stannis shortly after Renly's death.

Was not cast for season 2. I'm sure the character will be in the show at some point though, I remember reading an interview recently from the exec producers and they said that some characters that are introduced in book 2 won't be introduced until the third season of the show simply because they had so many new characters this season.

That episode last night was incredible. May be my favorite of the series so far. So dark, so intense.
