I honestly never knew what I was missing before I got a gaming PC. I've had my rig for a couple of months now and I've barely touched my consoles. Pretty much only to play The Show.
I've got everything from Space Engine, which is a 1:1 universe planetarium, RE3 Remastered. (got it for free with a new GPU I got a month into it lol)
I have MS Flight Sim X, a few indie games, GTA V with mods, Universe Sandbox where you can just make planets collide or just blow up the sun. Some driving game with hyper realistic damage physics. It's like a whole new world of gaming. Oh, and Madden with the College mod. It's great!
I don't have a super high-end system. I went with a system to play games at 1080p ultra or high. Middle of the road Mobo, 16GB ram 256SSD (I'm getting a 500 soon) 1TB HDD, Ryzen 5 2600X, Which I may upgrade soon-ish, but seems to be capable of everything I've thrown at it. And finally, I just upgraded to the RX 5600XT, which is considered, well, advertized, as the ultimate 1080p card, at least on the AMD side.
I was gonna go with the 5700, but I couldn't justify the extra 100+ when I could use it for other stuff. I have a nice 1080p monitor and don't want to spend the money on a 1440p or 4K at this time. This card can handle everything on ultra settings at 1080p. Still giving me great FPS. And it stays super cool. I got the Sapphire edition. I'm so impressed how cool it runs. My old AMD RX 580 ran hot as hell even doing middle of the road tasks.
Anyway, I think I'm set for now with my system and pretty happy with it overall. I can pretty much ran anything I want with no issues.
So glad I finally decided to do this.
