When exactly do shows announce a season is the last of that show(assuming they announce it during the actual airing of the season). Cause we're almost at the midway point of the season. And last time I checked, many shows usually get renewed for an ext season, by March or something.

Though I REALLY doubt CBS will let them end HIMYM(at least after season 8). Issues with Two and a Half men, Rules of Engagement is now just a filler show, they've cancelled Partners(along with 90% of shows that have aired after HIMYM in the past,cause CBS is lacking at creating new good shows), so really don't think CBS can afford to end HIMYM.

Watched Monday's episode last night and I'm done with the show. Tried to stay loyal, but too many flashbacks and filler episodes for my liking. Not to mention the show is no where near as funny as it used to be.

I'd have gotten off the that damn couch by now if I were Ted's kids. Just tell us who the stupid mother is already.

I would think CBS would want the final season to be advertised as the final season, much like The Office is doing, but who knows.

Considering how the show is scheduled after November, I'm sure they have plenty of time to promote this as a final season.

My question, why are you still watching it and posting in here then? The show isn't about how Ted met the mom. It's about all of their lives in their 30's.

That's like hating Seinfeld because the best characters were Kramer and George.

Yeah, I think we'll get one more as well. Unless there's a spin-off already set up for after he meets the mother (rather than just speculation), I think a lot of people would be upset with the show ending with Barney's wedding.

Eh, I only bitch about the show if the episode is bad. If it's a good episode I'm more than willing to give it credit.

And a lot of people continue to watch because they're "pot committed", so to speak.

I hope we get another season if only so there could be one more season of having something to watch, but they need to put some effort into making it worth while for sure.

Yeah I think they need to give it another season to properly send it off, I'll be kind of mad if it just ended with him seeing the mother which would almost be certain if this is the last season.

The second after Ted sees her face, and we find out her name and stuff, the show ends right there(after future ted is like "and that is how i met your mother")

They really do need like half a season worth of stuff, AFTER he meets the mother, to make every part of the show all come together.

Loved the Barney and Robin story until the end.

The rest was pretty meh except for the very last scene set in the future.

So very uncharacteristic of him lol. I think it's safe to say that he's the character that has grown the most since the show began.
