Re: Interstellar (Christopher Nolan)
I just posted this last night in the what was the last movie you saw thread. I Just saw interstellar with my mom last night and all I can say is wow! just wow! What a great emotional complex movie! Even though the movie was complex I understood most of it. I just had to think a little bit. Seeing a moving and having to think is not a bad thing lol. Sever things in the movie surprised me and some people have said that has good has Christopher noal is has a director that he is cold and cant make an emotional movie wrong! This movie was very emotional and got to my hart sever times. I almost never cry when I see a movie and I got tear eyed sever times in this movie. Need to see the movie again ASAP!Comment

Re: Interstellar (Christopher Nolan)
Just about all of zimmers movies have epic music or at least really good music. He really is one of the best composers off all time. My favorite song in this movie is the one that plays when they are on the planet with water. The song that sounds like a clock. I don't think it is his best though. Top 3 zimmer soundtracks to me go like this.
1. Dark knight rises
2. Amazing spider man 2
3. Lion kingComment

Re: Interstellar (Christopher Nolan)
Since we're on the topic... I couldn't really stand "Man of Steel" - but I LOVE that soundtrack. If you're wanting to listen to a solid one, give that a look. (of course, this is coming from the same guy who loves the "hoosiers" soundtrack as well)..STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS

Yeah likewise, I did like Bane's music. Overall, TDK was a much better soundtrack though.Comment

Re: Interstellar (Christopher Nolan)
Interstellar back in theaters April 7th. Doesn't look like IMAX, but there is some extra stuff being screened with the film that hopefully isn't also already on the Blu-ray (that comes out March 31st).
The presentation will be shown at more than 250 movie theaters across the USA. Tickets are available at FathomEvents.com.
In addition to a screening of the nearly three-hour film starring Matthew McConaughey as an astronaut looking to save mankind, there will be cast interviews, footage from the London red-carpet gala, a look at an orchestra performance of Hans Zimmer's acclaimed score and a round-table discussion of the music and science of the film featuring Nolan, Zimmer and physicist/executive producer Kip Thorne.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Interstellar (Christopher Nolan)
Bought the Blu-ray this morning along with The Show, and watched it earlier this afternoon.
If you have a big subwoofer, this film is your dream ride. It doesn't move the air as much as Tranformers, but it moves the ground effortlessly during appropriate scenes. Very well mixed at home compared to that of my first IMAX experience, and easy to listen to at reference level!
I cried a few times watching it this time, for the fourth time.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Interstellar (Christopher Nolan)
Finally watched this today. I had a lot of fun watching it. The science fiction stuff was cool and the special effects were out of this world, but what really stood out was Coopers relationship with his children, specifically MurphSpoiler(although I would be lying if I said that I didn't choke up at the part where Cooper sees a few videos in rapid succession where he sees his son's early adult life including his grandson and then his son says he has to let him go. Oof. That was a gut punch
One thing that kind of bugged me wasSpoilerwhen Cooper ejected from the spacecraft in the black hole. I guess it can't be completely accurate as its a movie but it's pretty well known that any human in a black hole would die instantaneously. Pretty minor thing I guess.Comment
