...on a side note I may wait to do a double feature on this and Xmen next week

      DVD/Blu Ray release August 19th.

I was just wondering yesterday when this would be coming out on Blu Ray. I know most movies are speeding up the time between their release in theaters and release on DVD/Blu Ray but this seems a lot quicker than most, especially for such a big movie like this. I'm not complaining at all though.

I watched this last Sunday. I enjoyed it a lot more than my comic enthusiast roommates.

Sounds like ASM1 got your spider sense tingling.

            What the ****?

We're not getting The Amazing Spider-Man 3 for another 4 years.

On the eve of Comic-Con, Sony has announced the release date of their villain-centric Spider-Man spinoff The Sinister Six for November 11, 2016, and are also pushing The Amazing Spider-Man 3 to an unspecified date in 2018.

According to Variety, Sinister Six will be released before The Amazing Spider-Man 3, which was initially slated for a June 10, 2016 release date. The Amazing Spider-Man 4 was originally set for a 2018 release, but that will no longer be the case.

Sony Pictures president Doug Belgrad commented on the Sinister Six date, saying, "With Sinister Six in the hands of writer-director Drew Goddard, we feel extremely confident placing the film on a prime date in 2016."

So not only will there be a Sinister Six film before the third Andrew Garfield Spidey film hits, but presumably still the Venom solo film from writer/director Alex Kurtzman (Star Trek Into Darkness).

Well, that was the gap between The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises. Not unbelievable.

Different situation though. With The Dark Knight they were coming off the death of Heath Ledger and Nolan wasn't sure if he was going to return unless the script was right.

I mean to an extent I get taking extra time off because even though the movie wasn't as bad as a lot of reviews made it out to be, I don't think it was anywhere near as successful as Sony wanted it to be either. That also probably explains why the Blu-Ray is already releasing in a few weeks.

It's just a little disappointing to me that we have to wait that long for a true follow-up to ASM2, especially after how it ended.

                  It ended
                  Spoiler

It makes sense to shows us the Sinister Six (and build them up) before Spidey 3. If any hero knows anything about being burdened with too many villains and not much screen-time for himself, it's Spidey.

Well, if Columbia/SONY and Walt/Marvel could get together, he'd have some help.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

For what it's worth, the title of the Venom movie has allegedly been changed to Venom Carnage.
