One thing's for sure, this show is moving at a good clip and isn't dragging.

Too bad that rendition of "Goldfinger" was so horrid. I think they should've had her sing "diamonds are forever" instead.

Daniel day Lewis did great but the best actor to get inside Lincoln's head is John Wilkes Booth

I'm assuming that's the one he was taking about.

Something along the lines of Daniel Day Lewis is the second actor to be nominated for playing Lincoln, buy neither of those two were able to get in his head like John Wilkes Booth.

I was wondering the same thing and found this when I Googled it. 5 ties including tonight.

In 1932 Wallace Beery and Frederic March both won Best Actor, for The Champ and Dr. Jeckell and Mr. Hyde, respectively.
In 1968 Katharine Hepburn and Barbra Streisand both won Best Actress, for A Lion in Winter and Funny Girl, respectively.

There have been ties in the Best Documentary category twice

In 1949 - A Chance to Live & So Much for So Little
In 1986 - Artie Shaw: Time Is All You've Got & Down and Out in America

It wasn't the greatest joke ever and it wasn't the right venue to say it but at least he bounced back with his "150 years" line.

Ohh!! And the trip going up the stairs, she handled it like a champ though ha. No surprise with Django winning, that was a fantastic film. The worst part about the Oscars is seeing all these movies I wanted to see and never got to. One day.
