EDIT: Well, landing on another article, this was mentioned...

Director Christopher Nolan was also on the panel and revealed that he had also had “that conversation” when filming Interstellar. Nolan ended up using “incredible” NASA footage in that movie, so we see no reason why Trevorrow couldn’t go one step further.

I wonder if the June 28th release of the Lego Force Awakens game ties in at all to the DVD/BluRay release of the movie?

Probably not, as the DVD/BluRay is rumored for April.

I heard that rumor but that sounds to soon. That would only be like 3 and a half months from theater to video. Most movie are around 4 months and this movie should be out in theaters for at least a little longer. I think may is more likely.

Loved seeing the movie a fourth time, would probably even see it again. There are certain scenes that give me chills every time.

At least around me, it's leaving first-run theaters tomorrow, so I went to see it for a fifth time tonight. After all the hype, it was kind of strange seeing it in a theater with about six other people.

I still get chills when Rey gets the lightsaber before fighting Kylo and again when we see Luke.

On that note, the second time I went (on Dec 22) there were... 3 other people in the theater. Was nice having pick of the seats.

The scene of Rey grabbing the lightsaber....just incredible. Might be one of my favorite moments ever in a movie. Just amazing.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

I saw the movie three times, 3D, 2D, and IMAX 3D. Enjoyed each viewing but I think I'm good until the Bluray release. When Rey took the lightsaber like Cheese said, very cool moment, one of my favorites. My favorite part is when Rey and Finn are running at Jakku and she calls the off-screen Falcon junk, then says the junk will do and then we get the shot of the Falcon. Awesome way to first show that ship. Also loved when Finn says Solo was the Rebellion hero and Rey says no, the smuggler! The thing that stayed with me the longest is the flight of the ships on the planets rather than space. Didn't get much of that in the other movies and it was beyond expectations in this movie. When Rey is piloting the Falcon on Jakku, that was an amazing ride.

Thought I was done seeing this in theaters, but now they are releasing it at the local IMAX. Gotta try to get tickets for that.

Update: Got tickets. Apparently on 20 theaters worldwide are showing this 70mm version:
