    Re: Star Wars: Episode VII

When it was first announced I felt like it was a "Maybe I'll go see it", now it is an opening night viewing for sure.

      I cannot wait.
Similar feeling. First thing I thought after seeing the new trailer compared to the prequels, "They're Back".

I just don't understand why people hate the prequals so much.

Because they are just that bad. I almost never hate movies as much has a lot of people do but I agree with people that the episode 1 and 2 where that bad. Boring, bad acting, story's, action ect. Now 3 was really good though. That is why I am so iffy about this movie because of episode 1 and 2 being so bad and so far both trailers for this movie haven't shown much. I thought yesterday's trailer would show a lot more then it did so right now I am disappointed. I really want this movie to be good but my hype is not that high right now and I think Jurassic world is going to be much better then this movie as that movie looks great!

Jar-Jar Binks. It all started with The Phantom Menace. The expectations for that film were so high, I don't know if anything Lucas had put out would've been well-received by the fans, but man, he clearly missed the mark with the tone, story and characters in that film.

I think that really soured a lot of people and they couldn't move on from it.

I didn't mind The Clone Wars and Revenge of the Sith. Revenge of the Sith was a solid movie and did a good job of closing that chapter in the Star Wars story.

I love Sith but 1 and 2 are 2 of the worst movies I have ever seen before but the odd thing I didn't mind jar-jar lol there where a lot more problems then just him. There wasn't a single thing I like about 1 and the only thing I liked it 2 was when Yoda fought that is it. Am I the only one that thinks this movie could make less then 1 billion? I know star wars as a very big fan base but I think the prequels really turned people off. Now if this movie ends up being great then I think episode 8 could really do some crazy things in box-office but I don't think 7 is going to make as much has people think it is.

That movie was the biggest disappointment I've ever watched. It was like a C-rate made-for-TV movie that belonged on the SciFi channel. Everything that the original trilogy did right, Phantom did wrong.

This movie is probably gonna set records, which will then be broken by the sequels.

Building ON Luke/Han/Leia's story will be so much easier then building UP to it. The original trilogy just struck the right cord so well, the prequel trilogy was already kind of behind the 8-ball.

With that fact in mind, I think the tempered expectations that there CAN actually be a subpar SW movie will allow this Ep7 to really flourish. And I think Abrams is gonna knock it out of the park and do the series justice.
