I finally watched it. The movie was awesome but not as awesome as this which I randomly found trying to find the page with posts starting when the movie came out.

    Holy. ****.

That is straight fire. One of the most bad *** things I've ever heard in my LIFE.

I don't even know what thoughts I have about the movie anymore.

I'm definitely going to listen to it now just because I don't think I've ever seen Matrix speak about something positively before

I bought the digital version through Amazon last week but haven't had time to watch it. This is good news to hear.

I've now seen this movie three times now and I love it just as much every time.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

When I first watched this in the theater, my initial reaction was, "I like it, but I'm not sure it's 'Star Wars'."

After a second theater view and two more at home on Blu Ray, I'm really getting it now and appreciate the characters and story more. I think Rey in particular is an excellent character (and performance by Ridley), and I like Finn. Poe is cool...kinda reminds me of a youthful Hugh Jackman in a wise-***, hot shot type role. I'm thinking we'll get a bigger dose of him next film with Han Solo out. Poe and Finn need more development.

I like Kylo Ren's character a lot. At first blush, I thought he was an emo wanna-be, but I'm getting more out of him now and am looking forward to seeing how his character goes from here.

The Han and Leia scenes help reinforce that Ren (Ben) probably has serious abandonment issues and might have felt a real need to prove himself at Luke's academy. Push back from Luke on Ben being naughty might have further fueled Ben's whole parental resentment deal (also complicated by Luke being family), which ushered him down his dark path, and Luke guilting himself to exile.

However, still room in his heart for conflict, as he must know his parents didn't intend to neglect him or not be involved, nor were they mean to him. He did have the nerve to kill his father (especially in such a manner), but Driver did a great job of subtly expressing sorrow and maybe doubt over his choice, just before Chewie gave him what-fer.

Anyway, lots of possibilities for a cool story going forward now that the table's been set.
