I missed the Rocky part and just read "Spin-off "Creed" in the Works" so I thought it was about this guy:

Will Mason "the line" Dixon be in it?

Worst name ever. Who came up with that? Its a movie, you could name him anything you want, and he comes up with Mason "the line" Dixon.....

So Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan) will be a light-heavyweight?

I'm excited for the film, Michael B Jordan is an excellent actor and I'm glad he's getting into good roles. He'll be in the upper class of actors before we know it.

I'm looking forward to the film as well. I'm glad to see stallone being in the mentor role now. It's a smart way of keeping the rocky legacy going plus I liked how he put the in ring character to bed in rocky balboa. I wonder if they'll include the rocky theme music or variations of it.

This could be good. I like Michael B Jordan. He did some good work on Parenthood in a very difficult role. The only negative is that Apollo should have never been killed off.

With Tony Bellow playing Creed's main adversary (“Pretty” Ricky Porter) it seems likely that Michael B. Jordan's character will be a heavyweight. Bellow was knocked out by light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson a year and a half ago but has fought as a cruiser weight his last three fights. Ironically he could be knocked out by another Adonis.

Apollo getting killed off was the end of Rocky movies for me. IMO, that decision ruined the Franchise.

In an exhibition bout of all things. It didn't ruin the franchise for me. I just look at 1-3 apart from anything after. I'll watch this one unless it gets a 16 on Rotten Tomatoes, but I'll still set the first three Rockys aside.

I still remember my Uncle Jerry taking me to see Rocky in 1977 when I was in third grade. That movie captivated me like no other movie in my life.

With that said, I don't care if this were Rocky 63 being released with whatever storyline...I'll watch it opening night in the theaters.

I personally think this is a legit plot. I would hope that there is some personal conflict within Rocky to go there with Creed's grandson since he was indirectly responsible for Apollo's death.

I'm out of the loop on this one, but I thought I read that Creed is an MMA fighter after getting knocked out in the ring?
At the time, that looked like a terrible decision. I hope they changed their mind and kept it a boxing film.

Apollo dying was a shark-jumper for sure for me. I have so many better scenarios that would have kept that from happening and Apollo always being "around". Rocky IV & V seemed to be made simply for the money. Rocky Balbao seemed to be an atonement. Probably stating the obvious right there
