Re: Survivor Blood vs Water
lol ya. The whole time I just thought she was doing the whole "I'm listening to you just for the sake of listening to you" thing, especially the way she looked the whole time, but then they go to the cameras and she says completely diff stuff.
Probably was just for the cameras, but who knows..Comment

Re: Survivor Blood vs Water
Survivor renewed through season 30.
If Survivor doesn't end after season 30, don't see how it'll end anytime between season 31-39. I'd always see Survivor ending at a reasonable season(Season 30 is 15 years, season 40 is 20,50 is 25 and so on). Ending it at season 36 or something just seems random. Though every few years people saying a certain season could be the last. 20(since it was big all stars season) could've been the last, 25th season also another one people said could've been last, and now 30 will be the next one where people say it.
And who knows why it'll even end. If Jeff ever steps down as a host of the show, I'm sure they can just replace him(either with 1 person,or maybe have a diff former castaway each hosting 1 week(3 days) of the show). Sure,it won't be the same without him, but don't see them wanting to end the show just because the host is gone.Comment

Re: Survivor Blood vs Water
Good episode. I don't know what to think of Monica. Is she a great actress? Or did she just have a last minute change of heart?
I thought once Hay-Train and Cierra talked her down and fed her the lies about Gervase and Tyson, she would instantly betray them because of how paranoid she is. I honestly feel like she would have gone ahead and voted for Gervase IF Hayden and Cierra did not bring her kids/family into the arguement.
At first I thought that bringing up her kids and how she needs to show them how strong of a women their mother is, would make Monica instantly turn on her alliance, but I feel like that may be the reason the light bulb went on in her head and knew that they were trying to make her turn.
But I think Monica is so paranoid that she started thinking 3-4 steps ahead. She knew that if she voted against her alliance, when or if Laura comes back in the game, she'd be the odd man out of the Ciera, Laura, Hayden alliance.
And wow.. Katie looked hot.Comment

Re: Survivor Blood vs Water
Almost perfect ending to a great season!
Only thing that ruined it was Vytas vote. Preventing a shutout victory(would've been back to back shutouts too, something I don't believe ever happened before in Survivor history, so makes me madder now lol!)
Great to see a player I was rooting for from the start win the season(Hasn't happened since Cook Islands/Fiji(which was the 06-07 season) that back to back seasons someone I was rooting for from the start has won!)
Funniest part was when Tyson played the idol. He just grabbed it from his bag and just handed it to Gervase without saying anything. It was him being like "I had enough of listening to these people talk, just play it and lets send one of them home". I was hoping he'd do it WHILE Cierra was talking. Like in the middle of her speech trying to convince Monica to flip, Tyson just holds up the hidden idol and gives it to Gervase. Shuts up all the talking and ends the chance of a flip.
And Gervase all dressed up for the finale. How often do people in the final 3 ever actually wear suit and tie and everything lol.
Also...That water slide looks like so much fun. Everytime they ran up the stairs, dropped off the bag then just jumped over the top and down the slide, looked so fun.Last edited by Majingir; 12-17-2013, 11:35 AM.Comment

SpoilerI wasn't rooting for him at all, but he was clearly the winner, not even close. I felt like he didn't even need to say anything at the final jury tribal because Monica & Gervase had such weak arguments, and... well... his game spoke for itself. Even though I found him annoying as hell, I have to credit him for the win.
Not only did Gerv have the full suit get up, but Tyson had the t-shirt suit going on lol, that was hilarious.
That final challenge looked like the most fun challenge I've ever seen! They were bouncing on nets, flying down water slides... that would've been so much fun!
The news about Tina's son was pretty sad though. She and Katie were surprisingly composed, that couldn't have been easy.
And finally (omg I started a sentence with "And"!), "Brawn, Brains, Beauty", interesting... new characters? Battle between meatheads, braniacs, and hotties? Typically that doesn't bode well for the hotties. Edge towards the brains.Wolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika ChristensenComment

Re: Survivor Blood vs Water
Thank you for spoiling. Spoiler tags don't work in Tapatalk thread preview so your tags kept me from seeing anything while scrolling through my other subscribed threads. BJ Upton spoiled tonight's Homeland finale on twitter so I know I don't need anymore of that!
I'm watching now. I don't ever notice this but there was a whole lot of Laura armpit hair in that first segment. Highfives and all the arms in the air flailing during the challenge.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

That final challenge did seem real fun, especially since each station had a diff method of getting to it. It felt like the old school Survivor where people had to go from station to station to collect stuff before doing a puzzle or something(I think it was one of the first seasons where people had to go to each station, answer a trivia question and collect an item, and it seemed like a HUGE maze to get to each station, just going to each station was a tough part of the challenge)
As for next season...Beauty tribe is screwed lol. Unless they stack the tribe with brains + beauty and brawns + beauty and stuff. Most challenges in past several seasons has adapted to give everyone fair shots, but we don't see the big strong guys dominating challenges like we use to. Brains tribe could dominate the game.
Though I heard of 1 person who'll be on that season:
Also...What happened to player of the season? They've had it basically every single season since the beginning. Was it cut because they felt Rupert would win it despite not being in the game or what? A number of mini things that were Survivor traditions seemed to be cut this season.

Edit: Maybe you're upset or something with the way the show turned out but I was seriously thanking you. By saying, hey I'm gonna spoiler this, it kept it from being spoiled for me.Last edited by Mabster; 12-16-2013, 12:29 AM.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

Re: Survivor Blood vs Water
Well your other post was a bit confusing since it starts by saying "Thanks for spoiling." which kinda came across as sarcastic and is then followed up by saying thank for you spoiler tagging things lol. Im guessing its just a miscommunication in the end.Comment

Re: Survivor Blood vs Water
This is the first time I actually screamed out loud when Tyson won. He was my favorite going in, and he was my favorite up until the end.
I think he's one of the best players I've ever seen play the game. He can be mean to you but at the same time humbling. When Katie asked him about the "That's your seat over there" jab he threw at her, it was the perfect response, because that's exactly how I would have responded after a tense moment like that.
As for Gervase.. sucks to be him. I'm glad he made it to the end, but like Monica, he rode Tyson all the way to the final 3. I don't think the "I wanted him to be the bad guy in making decisions" doesn't work anymore. You have to play a strong game with evidence. You can't just say that you were the one that came up with the ideas to vote off player A,B,C.
As for Monica.. geez, I'm glad the show is over so I don't have to hear her whining, crying, and complaining that she is "Brad's wife" You know what? If you want to show your kids something to be proud of, show them that you don't need TV's or a show to prove that you're a bad *** mom or one that can provide for their family. Cierra was 100% correct about her assessment on Monica. To get Monica to side with you, you have to feed her ego.
I felt like the past 5 episodes have been nothing but Monica trying to put the image of a victim on her and then make everyone feel sorry for her. I'm glad everyone called her out during the questions. It's like she kept preaching that she wants to show her kids how strong she is, yet she kept breaking down everytime she was asked a question. Boo hoo Monica. You're a trophy wife because you chose to be a trophy wife. You had 15+ years to make a name for yourself, but you chose not to because were living life off of your husband's money. And now that he's no longer getting a paycheck, all of a sudden you have to prove you're a strong woman? lol FAKE.
Laura was a stronger mom that she is. Laura showed that you can be strong in ways that you don't need to broadcast to the entire nation.
As for Tina and Katie, such a sad way to end the show knowing that your brother/son had just passed.
And once again, back to Kat. W.T.F. That girl is seriously on crack or something. Hayden needs to run away from her. You can tell she is nothing but a gold digger. I'm glad Jeff made her look as dumb as possible on her last min of fame. What was the point of honestly telling America that she got a boob job?
She's the type of girl that says "I'm a good girl, I'm innocent, I don't kiss on the first date. but I do have a tattoo that you can't see right now but I can show you..."Last edited by shugknight; 12-16-2013, 01:27 PM.Comment

Re: Survivor Blood vs Water
I had no clue what on earth Kat was doing. She's "different", that's for sure. Hayden isn't the brightest crayon in the box, but man, even he should have enough intelligence to ditch that broad.
I can't wait for the next season. My wife is just now getting into watching Survivor, so between now and the February start date for BBB, we're going to try to watch a season or two on DVD. Any thoughts on the best seasons to get her more engulfed in Survivor. My mind is drawing a blank for season numbers, best character seasons, etc.Twitter - WTF_OS
