This episode puts us right back on track. So many ways this Alexandria place could go.

That's the only way I see someone important dying and it'll be stupid if they speed it up.

If they don't, I'm sure people will bitch here about how boring it is.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 5)

I'll preface this with saying I've read the books. Yes I know what transpires but I watch and I like the odd little twists they add sometimes.

I really liked how the episode was done, they're like wild animals surviving out in the ****. Suddenly they're in these nice, furnished houses with hot running water.

They look so out of place, you can see the uneasy feeling they have. I loved the scene where Glenn punches that guy in the face. I'm also assuming they were being followed for a good while, hence Rick's back up handgun being removed from the blender.

Odd how him and his son meet up outside the gates at that house and there are walkers yet nothing is said between them & everything seems understood.

I try to watch this on its own merits and ignore what I've ever read in those books years ago. Sometimes I wanna break them out for cross referencing but I don't.

I love this episode. Such buildup as to where they have come from and how long they survived together. Its crazy how they can go a whole episode with Abraham or Eugene speaking at all just being there. Im curious to see what happends with Darryl,

Best part of the night was Rick still showing that killer instinct at the end with "They will just take it".

I think it was Enid that took the gun. Remember how she was watching the group before they first entered the safe zone? I believe she's just like the group, survived so long on the outside that she's not used to being the comforts of a community like this. When Carl was chasing her outside of the walls, he wound up with Rick at the house, so it tells me that Enid possibly went a different route to get to that house.

Enid is definitely a wild card, they could go so many ways with her on the show.

That part was great, but Carol playing harmless little homemaker/"den mother" was fantastic.

Deanna did say that she was great at reading people, so I'm interested in seeing if she got a read on Carol.

I was thinking those same exacts things about the 2 points you touched on. I forgot to add those in my last post but you covered it, well said.

And nice take on Enid Steven, hadn't thought that possibility out. Good & valid points.

I was thinking this same thing. Carol came off very phony in her interview and was curious if Deanna picked up on that.

It's the end of an era. The beard is no more.

Agree with Carol acting so harmless. Get to know them and use that knowledge if needed in the future. Or she gets another chance at turning kids into stone cold killahs.

The whole community does seem small though. Aaron wasn't lying when he said they needed people.

Darryl seems so out if place and shows it. I laughed at the part where carol was like shower or she spray him down in his sleep.

Dude when he shaved his beard I nearly broke down.

Rick is so corny when he's serious.

Aaron reminds me of one of the first people the group encounters in Lost. Not Ben, the other one. I forget.
